Not sure what to post about. Not much is going on right now, I think?
Strangely enough, I chose canoodling with my boyfriend (! jesus chris, I may have to post more on that later, because !!) over gaming for much of the weekend (I know, I'm surprised, too - who am I, etc. etc.) and so I didn't get very far with the GW:EN preview. I did finally complete the entire Norn primary quest thread, though I didn't get around to many of the side quests, so my faction is low and pitiful. Instead, I opted to finish the mission thread in Nightfall through the Desolation so that Neriah could get her Ancient Armor (I always forget that there are 2-3 quests in between each mission, which screws with my time estimates. At least the quests are generally easy messenger quests, unlike in say, Factions). I finally managed to accomplish this at 11pm last night, and emptied my coffers for the greater good of more properly attiring my very favorite character for the harsh Shiverpeaks.
I also invested in acquiring the skills to set up a Searing Flames build for her (again, finally), only to realize that this will be useless in much of GW:EN due to the Destroyers. Ah well. The Elementalist, she is clothed! Now I must find just the perfect dye combo for her, because the minimally dyeable portions of this armor are sad and drab.
I'm still trying to sum up how I feel about the GW:EN thing. On the one hand there is so much I like and prefer about it to the rest of the game. It's more like Nightfall in terms of achieving things, I think, and I remember thinking I liked the mob distribution for the most part - even with the high-level mobs at least things are avoidable, or it's not as likely that you'll pull several mobs at once and be overwhelmed (Factions, I'm talking to you, asshole). But the quest chains could be a bit long and as someone who appreciates the ability to log in for half an hour, do a quest/mission, and log off again if need be, I can see that being frustrating in the future. But oh, the graphics, the characterization, the scenery, the variety in quests, the newly buddy-buddy henches, the talking NPCs, the cutscenes, the ability to re-watch cutscenes (with you as the star, regardless of who was the leader of the group when you did the mission originally, haha!)...... there's so, so much to love.
Other than that, um... I'm still not feeling creative, writing-wise. I don't know. Happy... not-happy.... nothing's coming. Maybe my writing days are just over. It was fun while it lasted, I guess. And... yeah, now I'm done. I suppose I'll do something else now.
Oh! at some point in the past I bought some Bare Escentuals makeup, though I'm not immensely impressed by it. The coverage is good, but it does nothing to quell the oil geyers that are my pores. I think my skin is the world's Ninth Wonder. And oh! oh! this week I am going to be visited by a
misskittye! I am v. v. excited about this as we haven't seen each other in years and we have been friends for AGES AND AGES, yay.
And that's all. Ta!
