Hi everyone and happy Independence Day Weekend for those celebrating. I wanted to come here and post something, since this comm's been rather dead. This happened to me earlier this week, but it's not the first time it's happened to me. I had a training scheduled for my volunteer job, and a tutor who works with me wanted to come earlier that same day so that we could run some errands. So he showed up that morning, as scheduled, and we got done most of what we needed to do. The last thing we did before he dropped me off was go grab some lunch at a nearby McDonalds. So we got in line to order, which went pretty quickly and the person taking our orders was very good. This happened to be the time when they were transitioning from breakfast over to lunch. My tutor worked for awhile at another McDonalds prior to coming to work with me, and he told me that those transitions there can get pretty hectic. So we had to wait awhile for our meals, but it wasn't terrible. Our food was great. However, the real problem came when he dropped me off. My co-workers were here to give me a ride out to where the training was going to take place, but it turned out that they had actually been waiting for me for close to 20 minutes. My tutor asked me what time I was told they'd be by to pick me up, and when he came back that evening I had the production memo pulled up on my computer. To cut a long story short, I had been given the wrong time in the production memo that is sent out each time we do these trainings. What really gets me about this is that the co-worker responsible for disseminating these production memos seldom gets it right, even after being told that repeatedly. I have reported this to the appropriate person, so I hope something is finally done about it. We have a training next week at the same place, and it'd be great if the situation was remedied by then.
