Went out to lunch with my partner yesterday and on the way back I noticed a game store I had never seen before. They stocked MTG, D&D, Warhammer 4k, and a large stock of mini painting supplies. The only place I knew of that sells mini painting supplies is nearly an hour's drive from me, so I'm stoked to find a place that is much closer. I have some mini painting projects I'm still working on and saw they had a wet palette in stock. I've wasted so much paint even trying different ways to keep it from drying out in between coats, so I bought it. That's it for my hobby spending money for the month.

I also spent some time playing BG3 as my evening will not allow it. I had to roll back my saves 10 hours because of a stupid mistake I made in Act III. At least the redo isn't taking as long.

While sitting here drinking some coffee on a morning that started way too early, I decided I missed the old-school journaling experience. I had LJ back in the early 2000s, and was on DW for a while years ago but left because the contents of my journal and most of the connections I made had to do with a version of myself that no longer existed. I'm so glad to see this corner of the internet is still alive and kicking. This place will be a mix of life stuff and fan musings.

My partner and I are currently re-watching TNG from start to finish. I saw most of TNG as a kid when it was on the air and in my college years on SciFi channel reruns, so needless to say this is long overdue. We finished "Angel One" (season 1, episode 14). I hadn't seen this one previously, god it was every cliche and cringe Star Trek trope in one episode. I get they were trying to illustrate a point showing a highly sexist society but it was done so poorly. It wasn't as painful as "Code of Honor" which I did vaguely remember watching at some point but it's right up there with it. Ugh it was awful.

As a Star Trek fan I struggle with the amount of content. I still need to finish watching Discovery before the next season of Strange New Worlds drops. I know there are several episodes of the original series I haven't seen, but honestly TNG and Voyager were what made me a Star Trek fan. I haven't touched the novels yet either.
