Character
Character Name: Lillet Blan
Series: GrimGrimoire
Gender: Female
Age & Canon Point: ambiguously somewhere around 15 or so, possibly (though it's implied she's been repeating the same five days for thousands of years); right before breaking the Philosopher's Stone
Requested Sponsor: Emerald
Entry position: Instructor (PMGF 101 [MON/WED/FRI], MAG 101 [TUES/THURS])
History: wikipedia
Garden History: Lillet would have spent her past year going out on a journey to study the types of magic used in this world.
Abilities & Physical Abnormalities: Lillet is a magician and uses grimoires for her magic. By placing down a magic rune, she can summon familiars from four different categories- Glamour, Alchemy, Necromancy, and Sorcery, and command them to gather mana as well as battle.
Personality: A new transfer student to the Silver Star Tower, Lillet initially is modest yet eager to learn, excited for the chance to attend a prestigious magic school, willing to overcome even her fear of dragons for the honor of being enrolled by the "Binder of Archmagenitude", Gammel Dore. Having come from the countryside, Lillet has been taking care of her little brothers, and hopes to become a great magician for their sake. She initially is easily spooked, somewhat timid in nature, and made uncomfortable by both Amoretta and Advocat's mannerisms. She is a humble girl, polite yet naive, and otherwise easily forgettable, just another new student.

During the first five days, as Lillet starts to familiarize herself with the school, Lillet is introduced to an assortment of strange students and teachers alike. The Sorcery teacher is a devil, the Alchemy teacher a lion, and that's just the start of the many mysteries of the school. On the night of the fifth day, Lillet finds that things are in chaos, as the Archmage Calvaros' seal has been broken, and although her initial suspicion is towards Advocat, she soon learns that Opalnaria is dead, and has taken Advocat down with her; quickly, Lillet realizes the rest of the staff in danger as well. An attempt at hiding with Margarita and waiting for help fails, and their chance of escape ends when Calvaros kills Margarita. Just as Lillet's life is certain to come to an end as well, though, she suddenly finds herself back in her room... the night before her first day of classes.

Now caught in a repeating loop of those five days, Lillet tries hard to save everyone and stop Calvaros from awakening, though as she finds, it's no easy task. An attempt at warning everyone doesn't work out as well as Lillet hopes; Gammel Dore doesn't necessarily outright state he doesn't believe her story, but attempts to find reasoning behind what Lillet knows. Lillet also finds herself tested by Advocat, whom she still suspects has something to do with breaking Calvaros' seal. Lillet's attempts at warning everyone continue to go wrong, with her being betrayed by Margarita, who turns out to have been sent to the school by Calvaros to retrieve the soul flask.

As Lillet continues to find herself repeating the five days, she realizes that attempting to tell the truth to everyone isn't the best of ideas, and, as it becomes clear that nobody can truly help her, Lillet starts to take matters into her own hands, with the help of the grimoires that also went back in time with her. She becomes fairly clever, making a contract with Advocat during the fourth loop so as to summon the devil Grimlet herself. Although her attempts at making Grimlet obey her commands fail, Advocat is unable to collect Lillet's soul as she is sent back in time yet again.

By the end of the game, having saved everyone and having stopped both Grimlet and Calvaros, Lillet has matured significantly, and with the combined knowledge of everything she's learned through the repeated loops (revealed to have taken place over thousands of years, and not simply five days as she thought), manages to graduate from the Academy a short while later, growing up to be a skilled Archmage.

What are your plans for the character in-game? For Lillet to gain an understanding as to how magic in FFVIII world works, and to, well, question as to if she really ever stopped the timeloops or not.

Anything else?

IC
Complete TWO out of the FOUR options.
i) IC Questionnaire (can be found on the application page)

(As this questionnaire is entirely IC, your character is free to lie.)
What do you prefer to be known as? Lillet is fine.

How old are you? It's... pretty complicated to explain, to be honest.

Do you have any history in combat? Erm, well... in a way? It's really more about creating and defending your own Runes while destroying your opponent's... mostly.

If so, have you ever killed? I wouldn't say killed, exactly... Or, well, it's a little hard to explain.

i) How do you feel when you get involved in some project that calls for immediate and rapid activity? I do what I can to do my best.

ii) Do you organize and initiate leisure activities? It's been awhile since I've really been able to have free time, actually...

iii) What role do you take when working in a group? I've become pretty good at leading, I guess, but I'll take on whatever role is needed.

iv) How talkative are you around other people? It kind of... depends. [Because she's learned not to talk about her adventures in time loops with people.]

v) What three things would you want to have with you on a desert island? State your reasoning. Just three? Well, I guess if I had to choose only three, I'd take... three of my grimoires, though I'm not sure which ones.

vi) Is it important to be liked by a wide range of people? Just as long as we get along one way or another, I'm alright.

vii) When the odds are against you, is it worth taking a chance? As it turns out, it definitely is!

viii) Do you consider yourself to be an impulsive person? I think there's times where planning things out is better, actually, but sometimes you just... have to go with what you think is best!

ix) Would you agree that planning things ahead takes the fun out of life? Not at all; sometimes it's better to think up a strategy before acting.

x) Do you like surprises? I can't say I do these days.

xi) Do you sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with you? I did, at first, but now I think I finally understand what's going on... maybe.

xii) Do you consider yourself to be smarter than your superiors, and disagree with their decisions? In a way, I know a lot more than my teachers do; there's been times where I didn't agree with them, but I'd never act out against them if I could help it!

xiii) Lastly, how do you feel about cabbages? Cabbages? I'm sorry, I don't think I understand.
