Safehouse/ up-coming shop!

Hello, everyone! This is a catch-all plotting post, even though there had just been one, since this idea has been mod-approved and thus... okay to take off. :'D Anyway. Right!

Over the next two weeks, the Doctor will be opening up a mechanical shop, which will also serve as a rebel safehouse. The tiny details are here, with the bigger details (list of items to be bought/ made/ the current rebel operations stationed there, if any) hopefully coming soon to the Doctor's journal.

In the meantime, though I know I contacted some people on the ooc post (those characters will be getting an inbox message from the Doctor during week 4, most likely, depending on how Jurassic Park goes and if that's okay!), are there:

- any other characters that are good at mechanics, regardless of their stance on the PH, or,
- any specific rebel operations that would base there, for the comprehensive list? Or,
- wanna-be or actual moles that need a place to snoop? Ooor,
- regular customers! Just gotta say what they'd trade (objects, information, favors) for whatever they want.

So. Yes. Leave a comment/question here, whether I contacted you or not--! Everyone with anything to contribute's welcome. :3 Even if that something's technically detrimental.

Look on the bright side, at least the mole will be trying to be super helpful while undermining your secrecy.

Still up for setting a rebel comm center? c: In which case, I'm open for figuring out details for the main post/plotting with whoever.

yay c:!! And oh gosh it's all super mutable at this point but I'll hopefully be getting something up ICly after all the docking panic passes.

I'd imagine it's less electrical and more coding until they figure out independent power sources (if ever). The one big detail I know it'll need is that everything should be set up somewhere obscured from view. Paper, boards, etc I'm sure would be helpful too haha

And some general tasks I think would probably cover everyone who wanted to be involved: collecting/organizing info, exploring to find out new stuff, double-checking leads, encrypting messages, telepathic communications for anything hyper sensitive, delivering notes, etc. Basically, a place for them to try and figure out what's going to happen next, and somehow distribute warnings without catching the attention of the ship crew?

Abe can help man everything, but I'm mostly just pitching this in as an overall player plot!

SORRY THIS GOT LONG just brainstorming ;; And I'm open to any ideas!!

I think there'd be some wariness about ~using the enemy's technology~ but yes electricity would be nice someday ;w;

And I'm going to try and get a post up early this IC week, but most coding will be done by people far more capable at it than he is! I actually have no idea how the rebel movement plans on going as a whole-- I figured Erik/Eliot/leadery types that have been around a while were going to spearhead the more general front. On this end though, the code shouldn't take too long to make o/ and sob here's a less rambly description for you.

Desmond owns a motorcycle in canon and I'm willing to bet that he's like every other motorcycle over I have ever met ever and knows a fair bit about the ins and outs of taking care of machines. Probably even building parts for them. He's also intending to get rather involved in this whole rebel thing. So I'm ore than willing to jump on board with this.

He would! Desmond's also likely to make a bunch of runs for supplies and the like whenever the boat docks (I'm already making plans for all the crap he's going to take from Jurassic Park) so he can help out on that end, too.

Sheva's planning on staying under the radar as best as possible, but helping anyone she can trust who's rebelling.

Collecting items for the better good is one way she can help. With her military training I can see her doing decent at gathering supplies during port stops. She could definitely store/trade/barter/etc. them with the Doctor for whatever she may need that he could provide. She'll give more than she takes, though.

Also, giving her 'shopping lists' will help too!

Providing ammunition pre-expeditions so that she can more effectively gather supplies and food. Paper and permanent markers for note passing.

She wants to keep food stocked, too.

In the long run, anything to build a greenhouse on the deck with. That includes soil and seeds.

Sounds excellent. Should I reply to the forwarded email or is there a log I've missed to tag into?

Erik is good to help them set the situation up, and well...Stiles is good at snooping/gathering info...um...yeah? Lol idk what Stiles would do, but he wants in on it.

Like I said, Equius is down for helping with the shop part for now. Later on he might get more interested in the rebel part, but he doesn't see a reason to get involved at present. He won't rat them out, though, because he has no reason to do that, either.

Jack will probably come around because a mechanical shop interests him. He's decided not to be a spy due to Feferi's good moirailing, but people are free to think he's snooping around for information and chase him off. He's just going to pout about it a lot. albino discrimination

Ellis will be all for helping out, especially in regards to the mechanical shop. He needs to put that knowledge to good use!

Let's go official employee-type! He'd be more than happy to be a part-time clerk, and will be able to pass on his infectious optimism to 'customers'!

Mechanics you say? Peter is all for that.

sorry for the wrong account!

[personal profile] mrscongeniality 2012-09-08 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeees! c: Would he want to be an "employee-type," or an occasional contributor, or would he need things...? Or all of the above, because that's cool, too.
webstersquiptionary: <user name=corelite> (Default)

and sorry for the delayed reply

[personal profile] webstersquiptionary 2012-09-10 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably start/only call himself an occasional contributor, but he wouldn't really say no to any shifts or whatever asked of him, so if needed he could easily become an employee type!
