About this Resistance you speak of .... ?
The Resistance wants YOU.
And you and you and you hiding in the corner, yes I mean you!
After some discussion among ourselves and pitching a few ideas to Dandy, we've come up with some new mischief for the Resistance on the Charon to get involved with.
This post here has a good summary of some of the things, good and bad, that the Resistance got up too during the first half of Exit Void. Though the group has been pretty quiet since the fall of the first Project Head and the viciousness of that battle, there have been some in game discussions that we are looking to ramp back up and turn into full-fledged plots.
This is where everybody comes in! We want all the participation people are willing to sign up for!
This is very much an organic plot, in that it is intended to shift, grow and change slightly depending upon the contributions and input it gains from it's participants. There are three key objectives that we have been given the green light for. They are (in no particular order):
Characters to have direct conflict with the Project Head: Though initial conflict will see the Project Head come out on top (meaning your character will lose the confrontation and may be maimed, killed or punished in other creative ways) these encounters will provide clues to secure the ultimate objective: Neutralize the Project Head.
Characters to help capture and neutralize the Project Head: This will happen within the final two weeks of the end of Beta. This is one of those areas that is fluid, in that we know it will happen but how it happens will be up to who is participating and what ideas players/characters bring to the table.
Characters to work on the mystery of the COMPASS machines: This is not nearly as glamorous as the first two but it will, ultimately, be just as important. Again, it will not fully come to a head until the ending weeks of Beta but there is plenty of room for input from the scientific sorts, the mystery solvers and the puzzlers.
Characters to work AGAINST the Resistance: Want to throw your lot in with COMPASS and the Project Head or maybe characters who just like to add to the chaos to watch things burn, we need you as well! Would love to have some spoilers to help thwart the initial conflicts against the Project Head, possibly double agents to sneak information back to him and bust a bunch of people, make life generally difficult.
Once again, we do have certain end points in mind with all this but the HOW we get there is completely open to interpretation and we really want as much participation and input from everybody as possible. Beta and the Charon have been a wonderful setting to play in for Exit Void and we're really hoping to see it off in grand style but we can't do it without everybody's help.
So here is a text box with a handy dandy little sign up form. This will NOT be your only chance to jump into things!! We'll be pulling this together and running it for the next 6 IC weeks (approx 12 OOC weeks) so if you're not sure about signing up now it's not a done deal. We would just like to get a starting idea of who would be interested so we can get the ball rolling ICly in Week 21.
