CHARACTERS: Laughing Beauty & Raiden
DATE: February 25th (Week 15, day 5?)
RATING: Probably about PG-13ish for inevitable swearing and probable violence.
SUMMARY: RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE: a tale of LB and Raiden finally meeting. Considering they were on opposite sides of the war in their world, it likely won't go well.
[While she was mostly glad to be out of the damned cornfield and hotel that wound up forcing her to kill people and eventually possessing her to attack others that she would normally leave her alone, LB still wasn't feeling too good about her actions the week before. However, wallowing around in her room would only make things worse. So instead, she chooses to explore the overgrown vegetation that somehow formed in the absence of everyone else.
While the new environment made her a little uncomfortable, she had spent a few years in a similar environment within the jungles of South America -- this was the kind of terrain she was very familiar with. After spending some time killing some random hostile animal or two, though, the Octopus was finding that it still wasn't enough to distract her from her thoughts. So the sight of a robed figure was both an unsettling and exciting sight. While she didn't have a good history with cultists at all (and it rose questions of why the hell didn't anyone tell her about this), it was a human target that she wouldn't feel any regret in pulling apart either.
Even with the mobility of her suit, though, she couldn't quite catch the cultist and instead found herself in a clearing. Not far from her position was the man she had been desperately trying to avoid ever since she found him, stalking on the network: Raiden, the only person who had ever stepped foot here that might have an inkling of an idea of who she was before coming on the island and later Zelien.
As much as she wanted to escape, even now, there was no chance he didn't see her -- it was time to sort things out, with or without Big Boss' help.]
Eheheheh... so we finally meet.
[While the Octopus makes no move to attack, she still stands cautiously, ready to counter-attack if the man in front of her should make a move. While she'd rather avoid a fight here, the Octopus wasn't going to allow herself to be a punching bag either.]

Immediately, his body thickens as his suit pressurizes and he lowers into the foliage, ready to bolt away then spring out again to keep this enemy-for it is certainly an enemy-on the defensive. Hit-and-run tactics... Ways of fighting in the jungle are more ingrained into him than he cares to ever admit.]

Not wanting to take any more damage than she had to, she immediately releases some ink to lower the visibility around her, taking the opportunity to leap to a spot near some overgrown vines. Her suit shifts to blend in with the surrounding colors, while one tentacle wraps around the branch to attempt to mimic the spiraling of the nearby vegetation.]
Do you truly wish to continue fighting here? Hahaha?

If I have to? Yeah...
[The problem is she's vanished. Damn OctoCamo.... Well, he'll have to flush her out then. His approach to combat is nothing if not suicidally reckless.
Raiden bolts from his hiding spot and lunges across the clearing like a freight train, propelling himself towards the area he last saw his enemy in.]

[In a world consumed by battle, the Octopus understood the need to fight. Even here, with the occasional hostile creature, it never seemed to be enough to sate her bloodthirst. However, there had been people here (who were gone now) who were far above her level of power. Though she strove to make herself stronger, the experience with a couple of particular women humbled her a little -- if she knew she couldn't win a battle, she'd rather avoid it to make sure it didn't put extra work on Equius to repair her suit. Again.
As Raiden advances toward her hiding position, she grimaces behind her mask. Sure, maybe she could rely on the camouflaging abilities of her suit, but it could be very bad if she allowed him to get a possible strike in too. Figuring it to be better safe than sorry, the colors in her suit revert back to the default green coloring as she lashes out a tentacle -- more in self-defense than anything.]
We don't have any reason to fight here! Hahaha!

Bullshit!
This is some kinda trick!
[Octopus is here, maybe the others are too. Maybe Ocelot is. This whole thing could be one giant set up...]
