A space for SCAR groups and programmes & partners to meet and discuss their business + extended workshops and satellite events.

10-14 August:
Open Science Conference

Five days of inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, poster sessions, and lively conversations that spark new ideas and collaborations across Antarctic science.

15 August:
Science Group Business Meetings

A day for our SCAR Science Groups to share progress, align priorities, and kick-start joint projects with colleagues from around the world.

17–19 August:
Delegates Meeting

SCAR Delegates gather to review outcomes, make key decisions, and help set SCAR’s direction for the coming years.

The conference programme will offer a vibrant mix of meetings, symposia, side events, and social gatherings designed to inspire collaboration and spark new ideas. Shaped by the Antarctic community together with the International Scientific Organising Committee, the programme will feature daily plenaries, dynamic poster sessions, hands-on workshops, and plenty of chances to connect with colleagues from across the Antarctic research community.

We are very excited to announce that the call for abstracts for is now open. The abstract submission deadline is 28 February 2026.
