fic writing activities
May. 11th, 2006 04:19 pmI have been trying to finish the last story (I swear!) in the Snape's Escape arc. I also wrote one scene for my other work-in-progress. It's a little like writing original fic, in that I have a million ideas for character development and very few for plot.
Today, however, I wasted a huge chunk of time writing a Snarry story. By wasted, I mean, "didn't use it for job hunting or grant writing." I don't regard writing a story outside of my usual OTP as a waste in that way. I got the plot bunny in an IM conversation with
rexluscus, the Kveen of Snarry.
I generated a lot of very smutty smut--my usual meticulously observed, not at all kinky sex scenes with obligatory medical-sounding language--and sent it out to be beta-read and Brit-picked. (No chan and no fake chan either.)
I did not use the word uvula. I thought about it.
