Stasia wrote a very trippy fic for the Snarry Games, Submerged. It's a non-magical but still supernatural AU with a different supernatural creature than usual--not vampires, not werewolves, not werechickens, not fairies, not elves--well, I think she actually put it in her warnings. It's selkies.

What made it, as one commenter said, "beautiful, different and good" was the inclusion of all the HP characters in some capacity. Also the integration of the supernatural world into the real one, I think that was a big part of the charm. Also, you know that Stasia's writing is, for lack of a better word, smooth. Worth checking out.

(Werechickens. I want to see a story with werechickens. Or wereducks.)
