The good news is, I didn't write significantly fewer fics this year than last year. The bad news is, I wrote very few fics last year. All fic writing comes out of our relationships. Without kindly moderators, friends who demanded I participate in fests, recipients and other readers whose pleasure I imagined, and writerly friends who offered support, commiseration, and descriptions of Japanese snack food, I would never write a word.
