I am so remiss. I've read so much fic, and I've even told people about it in chat, but have I recced any? Nope.

First, this Steve/Tony/Pepper video cracks me up. (Link is in case you can't see the embed.) There are so many nice videos for this fandom.

I really loved the Bruce-focused, gen Responsible Science series by [archiveofourown.org profile] lettered, especially the last story which features a very moving and clever take on deaging, The Kids Weren't Alright. I read the last one first and it was not hard to follow. I liked how the story felt like preslash for all possible pairings--not unlike the movie.

I've been totally in the mood for deaging fics, but this one is definitely the most successful of the bunch.

I have also been reading [livejournal.com profile] cluegirl's story, Five Times Steve Rogers Rubbed Tony Stark Exactly the Wrong Way (And One Time He Didn't.). It's a WIP. It's not that surprising I would like this one so much, since she wrote an HP story that for the longest time was my standard for hotness. What I like is that she does a lot of sexy writing here and yet it's not the same sexy writing as before. Also I loved the schtick about Tony and Steve's special motorcycle.

Working Nine to Five was a hilarious AU in which non-super-powered Avengers contested for love and doughnuts in an office environment.

In The Scientific Method, Tony and Bruce work really hard to get Steve drunk. [archiveofourown.org profile] vidocqsociety writes a very funny drunken Steve. ♥ (Why do I love fics with alcohol when I myself drink so little and so infrequently? A puzzle.)

[livejournal.com profile] sinope's story Perfect was totally heartbreaking. What if you loved someone and wished you were sexually attracted to them, but weren't? It's weird that adding magic to that premise makes it more rather than less real.

I really liked All Things Being Equal, I'd Rather Be in Philadelphia, and did not like the sequel at all. I don't know why. I like badass!Darcy and het pairings featuring her. She's always just what a traumatized superhero needs, no matter who the author chooses as her love.

Loki Hears Some Vogon Poetry--just what it says on the tin. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy crossover, sort of. Cracked me up.

At any rate, I'll stop there. I don't think I've recced some of the fandom's most popular stories, but that is just because I think you've all read them already. I do love [archiveofourown.org profile] scificgirl47's Steve/Tony stories. For a new fandom, this one has some seriously delightful repeating tropes, you now?

Anyway. I also have some other stories I liked in this fandom and other fandoms to rec, but you enjoy these and I'll get back to you.

Hee! Don't know a thing about the movie or comics, but I love Garfunkel and Oates. "How's it going?" *big smile* M.

Yay, fandom! I love it when I find something that makes me happy.

Is the non-Gwyneth Paltrow, non-Robert Downey Jr character really named Steve? M.

Oh indeed I have read this one and love it like I love my childhood teddy bear. I think I have read Some Things Shouldn't Be a Chore, too, I just failed to recognize the author's name ...
