Three rapidly zombifying bananas on the counter could only mean one thing.
Banana Bread with Nutella Swirl
Ingredients
2 1/3 cups flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup sour cream
3 over-ripe bananas, mashed
3/4 cup Nutella
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° for an 8 x 4 loaf (or 325° for 4 3 x 5 mini loaves).
In a medium mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda cinnamon, and salt.
In a stand mixer on medium speed, beat together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy - about 2 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined. Add sour cream and bananas and mix for another minute or so.
Reduce mixer speed to low and beat in flour mixture (in three additions) until just combined.
Remove bowl from stand mixer and place about a third of the batter into another bowl. Microwave Nutella for 15 seconds, the mix into the smaller batter.
Place large spoonfuls of batter into a greased 8 x 4 inch (or 3 x 5 inch) loaf pan, alternating between the banana and nutella batters (I added the regular batter first, followed by the chocolate batter, topped by the regular batter).
Swirl the two batters together with a knife. Bake 60-65 minutes for 8 x 4 or 40-45 minutes for 3 x 5, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
