Rules and Guidelines:

Eligibility: Teams should consist exclusively of students who are not organizers, volunteers, judges, sponsors, or in any other privileged position at the event.

Attendance: All team members must be present at the event venue throughout the hackathon. Leaving the venue without prior permission is prohibited.

Collaboration: Teams may seek advice and support from organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and mentors but should maintain ownership of their projects.

Original Work: All work on the project must be done during the hackathon. Pre-existing code is not allowed, though brainstorming and conceptual ideas from before the event are permitted.

Reusing Ideas: Teams may work on a previously conceived idea but must start from scratch in terms of implementation. No pre-written code may be used.

Use of Resources: Teams may utilize libraries, frameworks, or open-source tools, provided these are not pre-prepared solely for the event.

Fair Play: Creating and open-sourcing a project before the hackathon specifically for its use during the event is against the spirit of the hackathon and is prohibited.

Time Restriction: Hacking must stop as soon as the allocated time ends. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Prohibited Items: Carrying intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited. The organizing team may inspect belongings to ensure the venue is a safe space for everyone.

Code of Conduct: Projects and participant behavior must comply with the event’s Code of Conduct. This includes but is not limited to:
- Prohibition of discriminatory language or behavior, including racial slurs, hate speech, bullying, or any form of harassment.
- Respect for individuals regardless of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin.

Illegal Activities: Any actions or projects involving activities that are illegal under Nepalese law or international law are strictly prohibited and will not be entertained.

Disqualification: Teams may be disqualified at the discretion of the organizers for:
- Violating the Competition Rules or Code of Conduct.
- Engaging in unsportsmanlike behavior.
- Damaging the event venue or equipment.

Data Privacy: Any collection or use of participant data within projects must comply with applicable privacy laws and ethical standards.

Environmental Awareness: Participants are encouraged to minimize waste and use resources responsibly during the event.

Health and Safety: Participants must adhere to venue safety guidelines. Any unsafe behavior or tampering with safety equipment will lead to immediate disqualification.

Team Size: Teams should consist of 2-5 members. Solo participation is not allowed.

Conflict Resolution: Any disputes between teams or members must be brought to the attention of the organizers, whose decisions will be final.
