Eligibility
- While the hackathon is open to anyone, it is geared towards beginner to intermediate programmers or people with limited serverless experience
- You cannot re-use old projects (unless you are a Serverless Camp student that began their project during the program)
Prizes
Courier Award: must integrate the Courier API
Microsoft Award: must build project using Azure Functions, may additionally use other Azure tools
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Creativity
Does the project take an original approach to a problem? Does the solution effectively alleviate, solve, or help the problem it’s designed to solve? Does the project expand on the creations of a previous idea?
Design
Is the design well thought out? Did the team make smart design choices? Is the project user-friendly?
Real-World Applications
Is the project feasible as a real-world solution? Is the project scalable? Is the project sustainable? Is the project cost-efficient for both the developer and the user?
The Extra Mile
Does the project show the team’s effort and passion? Does the team go above and beyond in adding features, curating their pitch, or any other part of the project?
Pitch
Does the team effectively communicate and present the problem, solution, and advantages of their product? Does the team show deliverables in a way such that those without major technical experience can understand their solution? Does the pitch clearly show that effort was put into planning and production of the final video?
