CHARACTER NAME: Iulalia
AGE: Roughly 400
APPEARANCE:
WORLD INFO:
Disclaimer: much of the information on Draenei is headcanon as Blizzard Entertainment has not given more than the basics. Timelines might vary from player to play as I go by the books and not the in game quest texts as those texts are contradictory (saying they've been on Draenor for a thousand years then saying it's been thousands of years). At least Rise of the Horde gives a more concise measurement of time in saying that it's been roughly two centuries since they crashed on the planet.

CHARACTER NAME: Iulalia
AGE: Roughly 400
APPEARANCE:
By Draenei standards Lia, as she's often called, is rather average looking. Her height is average and her form is on the thin side although pear-shaped, she's clearly muscled. Barely a Gnome-sized handful for tits and wide hips with a rear that more than makes up for the lack up top. Her face is somewhat squarish with a wide nose that appears to have been broken at some point. Her right eyes is a deep blue (and actually an enchanted crystal that allows her sight) while the other is a silvery-blue. A shallow scar runs across her forehead, starting above her right eye and running vertical across her headcrest before coming to a stop where her left eyebrow starts.
She's missing a left tendril, leaving her with only three. Her hair is once again in dreads that reach past her hips at the longest.
Both horns bear nicks along their surfaces while the right stops where it would begin to curve upward, it appears to have been shorn clean off from that point.
Both ears have two piercings in the lobes. The left ear appears to have been cut off toward the top leaving it blunted and the right has a sliver taken out where a piercing used to be.
Lia often wears clothes that cover as much skin as possible, should she be wearing a short enough shirt part of what appears to be a large tattoo of a Naaru in shimmering white ink can be seen on her back and appears to extend down part of her tail. However this tattoo is broken up by many scars. In some places there's whole chunks of skin missing. And across the front of her torso is long, pale purple scar, running diagonal from left to right. On her right upper thigh the number 23 has been branded.
Her accent isn't as strong as it used to be, however she still pronounces "w"s with a "v" sound and sometimes "th" sounds comes out with more a "z" sound.

AZEROTH
The history of Azeroth starts when the Titans first found Azeroth a long time ago (no actual date seems to be given). They defeated the Old Gods who had ruled over the world with their Elemental Lords since the dawn of the world. The Old Gods were hidden away as it seemed they couldn't be killed and the Titans set about creating the world as they saw fit. They created stone and metal constructs, that later became the Dwarves, Gnomes, Vrykul, Giants (and later on humans), to help the world flourish. It's believed that the Trolls were the first truly living race the Titans created (and from them came the Night Elves and later Blood Elves). They also created the Great Dragon Aspects to watch over the world, because the Titans sure weren't going to stick around.
From there the world flourish and all seemed well. That was until a sect of Night Elves decided to make deals with demons and brought down their wrath upon Azeroth. Where once the world was a single continent it shattered when the Night Elves were forced to destroy the Well of Eternity (which had been the source of their immortality and power for so long). While the demons were mostly pushed out many remained (and still remain) to this day on Azeroth. Naturally, with the demons came the practice of demonology used by warlocks.
The world was left in turmoil but eventually things settled back down, well as settled as they could get for Azeroth. Various wars broke out over the centuries. Whole cities were wiped off the map. Whole regions wiped out and taken over by other forces. Basically the world of Azeroth has never really seen true peace.
DRAENEI
Once upon a time there was a peaceful planet known as Argus. There lived a people known as the Eredar. They had an amazing advance society run on powerful magic. But if there's one thing anyone familiar with magic in Warcraft is that it's never a good thing. Just like with the Elves ten thousand years ago (fifteen thousand years after this occurrence) this powerful magic was a shining beacon for the Burning Legion.
Sargeras, the once Titan champion and now demonic leader, saw this powerful magic and saw the potential to recruit more beings to the Legion. On Argus he sought out the Eredari leaders, Kil'jaedan, Archimonde, and Velen. He offered them great power and the ability to travel and unify the vast universe. Kil'jaedan and Archimonde were taken up by this promise of power, how could they possibly resist? Velen however, ever the prophet, saw a vision of the future. He saw his people twisted into monstrous beings and knew the offer could not be taken. However, his fellow leaders would not be swayed away from such power and believed his vision a delusion. Velen prayed and again the voice that spoke to him before spoke again and told him to gather those he trusted and to flee to the highest mountain on Argus on the longest day of the year.
Velen did as he was told and gathered up as many Eredar, now Man'ari ("twisted") Eredar, that had not been swayed by Sargeras. They barely escaped their now crazed brethren and were saved by the Naaru (a race of beings seemingly made of Light). For twenty-five thousand years after the fleeing Eredar, now known as Draenei or "exiles", fled from the Legion. These Draenei owed the Naaru their lives and converted to their belief in the Light. That the Light would unite the universe and create an army powerful enough to destroy the Legion. It is believed that the Draenei visited many worlds during their flight but were unable to settle on any because the Legion always found them.
It wasn't until twenty-five thousand years after they fled Argus that they crash landed on an unknown planet, a planet they decided to call Draenor or "Exiles Refuge". The crash was violent enough that many Draenei died and even one of the Naaru was thought to be killed (it later turned out it had simply been forced into a state of suspended animation to heal).
The Draenei soon found they weren't alone on the planet, they soon found the Orcs. The Orcs were a highly primitive race in comparison to the Draenei so they chose to have very limited contact with them. They only contacted the Orcs for trade and didn't even try to convert them from their Shamanistic beliefs to the Light. Their ship, called Oshu'gun by the Orcs, was seen as a sacred mountain and gathering place for the Orcs after some time.
For two hundred to two hundred and fifty years after the crash the Draenei lived in peace with their neighbors. They built the great city of Shattrath and set up various outposts and smaller towns in the forest Terokkar and plains of Nagrand. They built a great temple in Shadowmoon Valley where their people could conduct worship to the Light. All was well.
Unfortunately peace did not last. In time, one of Kil'jaeden's scouts found where the Draenei had come to live. Rather than send the full force of Legion down upon them he went to the Orcs. We swayed them with unimaginable power and led them to believe the Draenei would one day turn on them and kill them all. It started small, Orcs would kill hunters they found or raid villages, leaving no soul alive. But it escalated when they drank demon blood. The blood sent the Orcs into a bloodlust frenzy and nothing was left living in their path. With the aid of Ogres and the Legion, the Orcish Horde eventually came down on Shattrath. Many of the Draenei had fled by then but many stayed behind as sacrifices to the Horde. If there had been no one in the city then the Horde would have become suspicious.
It was a slaughter. It made no difference if they were mother or child or warrior. Children were torn away from their mothers, throats slit before their bodies were thrown away. The same happened to anyone that couldn't fight back. Those that did attempt to fight back were hacked to pieces. Needless to say the streets of this sanctuary city ran cerulean with Draenei blood. Any who were left alive were fated to something worse than death. By the end of the battle the Legion launched Fel taint upon the city. Any Draenei left alive was cut off completely from the Light. If they managed to survive the Fel taint they soon found themselves deteriorating. Their minds went as their bodies mutated, looking less and less like the brethren. The lucky ones managed to keep some portion of their mind but were forced to live looking like monsters. The unlucky deteriorated further, becoming the Lost Ones. To both these groups the truly lucky ones were the ones who died because the Draenei feared all those that had been tainted. Feared it could be passed onto them so they outcast all the Krokul or "Broken".
In time the Draenei were able to rebuild as it seemed the Orcs no longer had any interest in them. It seemed the Legion thought them all dead. Instead the Orcs were busy building the Dark Portal, which would lead them to a new world to conquer. Life, while broken, returned to a more peaceful nature for the Draenei. However, Draenor was soon broken by the opening of multiple portals like the Dark Portal. The world was dying and the Draenei could not stay.
The Naaru provided a new ship to the Draenei, Tempest Keep. However, by this time the Blood Elves had come through the Dark Portal, lead by their leader, and had discovered Tempest Keep. They seized it but the Draenei were able to wrestle one wing of the Keep away from the Elves, the Exodar. They used to escape and look for aid in retaking their world. Unfortunately for them the Blood Elves had sabotaged the warp engine so when the Draenei tried to planeshift it exploded, causing them to crash (Draenei aren't very good pilots). This time they crashed on a chain of islands off the coast of Kalimdor known as the Azuremyst Isles.
The Exodar was so damaged that the Draenei had no choice but the remain. They first met the Night Elves who mistook them for Man'ari. The misunderstanding was sorted out and the Draenei soon had new allies and joined the Alliance in order to gain more.
Over the years they have aided the people of Azeroth in their fights against the Horde, the Burning Legion, Arthas and his undead hordes, Deathwing and his Twilight Cultist, Old Gods, the Sha, and much more. The Exodar has since been repaired but it is not yet known if the Draenei will leave what has become their new home.
There are still many Draenei living on the dying Draenor, they have not been forgotten nor has Draenor. The Earthen Ring, the group of shaman from both the Horde and Alliance, and the Druids of Azeroth, the Cenarion Circle, have been trying to find a way to restore the broke world.Little is known about Draenei family life and custom. In fact, there is little known about Draenei other than their stated history. Their physiology is definitely not entirely human. While their organs might be in the same place and have the same functions their blood is most definitely blue, stated in Rise of the Horde to have a faint glow to to it. Whether this glow is natural or caused by their infusion with the Light is hard to say. Their skin is typically blue or purple in colour. Their eyes are pupilless and blue or silver in colour, although other colours may exist, they also glow brightly.
It's safe to assume Draenei bones are thicker and stronger than those of humans, making them harder to break. A male's skull is much thicker than the female's depending on headcrest size. After all, those things are made of solid bone. Female horns are also made of bone however they don't appear to have any function aside from aesthetic.
Draenei height appears to be anywhere from just under seven foot to just under nine foot. The average for females seems to be around seven foot while the males might be seven and half to eight foot. Weight and build varies just as greatly in Draenei as it does in humans, however they have very strong legs that you do not want to get kicked by. Tail and tendril length seems to vary from Draenei to Draenei. Tails may be prehensile while the tendrils don't appear to be, however they may move and curl to show mood.
There is also nothing to state how they view the Light, or Shadow, in comparison to the other races. It's clear the revere the Light as it was the Naaru that brought them into it and the Naaru were their saviors. The Shadow is a known flip side of the Light which most races view as evil, right up there with demonology. However, the Draenei may not see it as such. It is known that the Priests of the Auchindoun Crypts use the Shadow. It's possibly Draenei view it as a way to connect with the dead and help them move on. That it is simply another side to the same coin and necessary for balance.
It should be noted that Draenei have a very general Eastern European accent, think the generalized Russian accent you hear on TV and in Movies.
MAGIC
Magic comes from many sources depending on who you talk to, each culture has their own belief. In addition, while magic is useful it can also be harmful. Some forms are addictive while healing magics can lower the bodies natural healing abilities.
Light/Shadow
The source of the Light varies depend on who you talk to but everyone can seem to agree that one's will plays a large part in the Light. The stronger one's will and their belief in what they're doing is right the stronger the Light is. The Light is seen as good and holy. It's used primarily for healing and protection but does have it's offensive capabilities. Naturally undead and demons are weak against the Light.
The Shadow is the other side of the same coin as the Light. Where as the Light is seen as good, many view the Shadow is evil. However, you can't have one side without the other. Shadows can not exist without Light but they also can't exist if there's too much Light; that is, Light spells can not be used while the user is fully in the Shadow (in other words, in shadowform). Unlike the Light, the Shadow is primarily offensive with a few defensive abilities, such as fade. Fade allows the user to be less visible to the enemy thus minimizing their threat level. The Shadow seems to be somewhat telepathic as some spells allow the user to directly assault their target's mind.
Fel
Magic used by warlocks with demonic entities as it's source. Warlocks make deals with demons which is frowned upon and even illegal on much of Azeroth. Fel magic, like the arcane, is highly addictive. The power that comes with it draws in those that seek such things and they often find themselves corrupted and twisted by the very magic they once controlled. Users of the Fel can also summon demons to do their bidding, however this is a dangerous practice. If a warlock's will over a summoned demon slips they might find themselves the demon's next victim (possibly meal). Most warlocks hide their use of the Fel if they can, often saying the fire they conjure is of the arcane type.
Shamanism
Shamanistic magic calls up the spirits of nature (or of ancestors depending on the user and their taught practices). Users of this magic can control the four elements and summon elementals to aid them. Shamanistic magic can be used for offense and defense as well as healing.
Prior to Orcs slaughtering the Draenei they did not practice shamanism. It was a Broken Draenei that discovered he could hear the voices of the spirits of nature and was capable of using their powers. He taught other Broken and even a few Draenei to do the same.
Arcane
Arcane magic is ever present as the Light and Shadow. It requires a strong will and mind to use. On Azeroth there are places, leylines, where the arcane is significantly stronger than others. Like Shamanism, the arcane can allow a mage to use both frost and fire as well as pure arcane for spells. Magi are also capable of creating portals to other locations (which is actually really bad and disrupts the leylines and the flows of magic) as well summoning food and drink. Like Fel, the arcane can be highly addictive if the user is not careful. Unlike Fel, the user is not twisted into some monster by their addiction. It's only with withdrawal symptoms does the user becoming physically twisted.
Druidism
Like Shamanism, Druids call up nature for their power. However, they do not control the four elements. Druids are capable of using controlling plants and some limited control over the elements. They can also take on various shapes such as a wildcat, bear, moonkin (owlchickendeer), or sentient tree; most specialize in one shape over another, each with it's own perks. For example, druids that specialize in the form of a wildcat are capable of taking on it's form and using it's ability to blend into their surroundings and stalk their prey. Just as those that specialize in the form a bear are capable of it's great strength. The moonkin has an amazing connection with the arcane, while the tree is a healer. The downside to taking on such forms is the druid could loose themselves to the feral nature of the beast.
HISTORY:
Roughly four hundred years ago Iulalia was born on some unnamed planet the Draenei only stayed on for a short period of time. Her father was a strong Vidicator born on Argus, while her mother was a priestess of the Light, born sometime after the Draenei had fled their original home. Her only other relative, that had also come from Argus, was her grandmother. She had originally fled with her two sons but one had been lost to the Burning Legion long before Lia was born.
Despite the constant running and never seeing much real land, Iulalia had a happy childhood. She was often glued to her father when he wasn't busy, always riding around on his tail until she got much too big for that. Her relationship with her mother was just as close. Much of it was spent studying as she was expected to follow her mother's hoofsteps and become a priestess of the Light. That hadn't been what Lia had wanted, however. She wanted to be able to fight like her father but he had forbade it. Of course, that didn't stop her; she would often sneak off whenever she got the chance to train with a few of the Vindicator cadets that she knew wouldn't tell her father.
Like any good father, Lia's father began to look for a man to be his daughter's husband after she came of age. It was one of the Vindicator's in training under him, one that Lia had grown familiar with during her secret training, was picked. Lia didn't like the idea at first but she couldn't deny she liked Kasimir. However, the ceremony would not come for some times.
For the most part, her life was boring. She spent it aboard Oshu'gun, the Draenei's first ship, and a few nameless planets here and there. Things only grew exciting when the Legion caught up to them. Not long before they found Draenor they family discovered Lia's mother was expecting a second child.
It wasn't until two hundred and fifty years ago did the Draenei finally find what they thought would be permanent home. Or rather, they crashed into the planet. The crash was violent and many Draenei were lost, among them were Lia's mother and grandmother. Her father had been badly severely injured and would no longer be able to serve as a Vindicator due to his injuries. As for Lia's unborn sibling the medics were able to save him, but he was premature and a poor tiny thing.
Luckily, Kasimir survived and with him and Lia's remaining family they managed to start a life on this new planet. The dead were honoured and homes were built a ways from the crash site, which soon became a sacred place to the Orcs that were native to planet they now called Draenor.
Shattrath started as but a few tents and huts but over time sprang up into a great city and that was were Lia and her family made their home. Once everything was settled down, Lia and Kasimir were joined. They continued to live with Lia's father as he needed help, when he was willing to ask for it, and her little brother needed someone to care for him.
Things were peaceful for the next two hundred or so years. Lia and Kasimir began making plans to start a family. Her little brother had grown into a fine young bull, however he had fallen in with a bit of a bad crowd from the Lower City. But it was nothing the family couldn't handle. Everything was great.
And then the Orcs began their attacks on the Draenei. Lia's brother was killed along with the rest of his hunting party by a group of Orcs. Her father was outraged but there was nothing he could do, he could no longer fight. Things only got worse from there. When it finally came down to the Orcs attacking Shattrath Lia had been ordered to flee and hide with most of the city's citizen's. Her father and Kasimir had chose to stay behind despite knowing they would likely die. Lia had begged them not to but in the end she could not change their minds. That day, Lia lost the remainder of her family (although she had always hoped that somehow Kasimir survived as a Broken) and vowed to become stronger so the same would never happen again.
When the day came that the Draenei had decided they were going to take their remaining ship and leave Draenor behind in hopes of finding allies Lia chose to go along. She hadn't been much help in the fight against the Sin'dorei (Blood Elves) but she did her best. The Draenei reclaimed the Exodar and left behind the world they had called home for some time. However, the Sin'dorei had sabotaged the warp engine and the Draenei soon found themselves crashing on yet another strange planet, this time Azeroth.
Lia had been injured in the crash but it was nothing so great that she wouldn't survive. It didn't take her long to recover and she was soon helping to aid the others that had been injured as well as any cleanup. For a year after the crash she remained on Azuremyst Isle with the rest of her people. She helped them settle in as it looked as if they would be stranded for some time.
However, Lia was curious about this new world and soon set out on her own. Despite her fear of the water, she can't swim, she took a ship to the mainland of Kalimdor. From there she traveled through both Alliance and Horde territory to Goblin dock town of Ratchet. By know she knew enough Common to get by but it was still very broken and difficult for her to understand, let alone anyone understand her. She ran into some trouble with one of the Goblin inn keepers. See, Goblins are greedy creatures and Draenei were still so new to Azeroth that the inn keeper was trying to take advantage of Lia. She had a strict budget and tried to argue it out with the inn keeper and when it looked like she was going to have to find somewhere else to sleep another Goblin smoothly stepped in and saved her.
This Goblin was known as Elvis Swagmaster. He and Lia chatted for some time that night and offered her a job to work for him as a model. Little to Lia know he had more than just modeling in mind for her. As any good Goblin can tell you a contract is very important so naturally he had Lia sign one. Lia was unable to read Common at this time she was only going on Elvis' spoken word. Yes, Elvis did have a modeling agency that did mostly did pinup work but he also had a a few brothels and a Draenei was so rare and exotic; how could ever pass up the chance to own one?
He took Lia across the sea to Booty Bay, yet another Goblin port city (but there were also a lot of pirates there) in Stranglethorn Vale. True to his word, Lia started out doing modeling. However, he made it seem as if she wasn't making much off of modeling and brought up the idea of prostitution with her. Naturally, Lia refused but he mentioned her contract. By now she could read so when he brought it out to show her she could see it clearly written there. She was given no choice. And oh, the money Elvis could make off an exotic beauty like her.
Lia did her job and sometimes she actually enjoyed it. Not all men that paid for her wanted sex, some just wanted to spend time with a beautiful woman and talk. Some wanted to learn more about the Draenei. One of her favourite clients was a human doctor that wanted to know more about Draenei anatomy for his own research that would aid other medics. In return her taught her everything he knew about the anatomy of the other lifeforms on Azeroth. He even gave her one of his books, which has become a prized possession of Lia's.
The more Lia learned from this doctor the less she wanted to remain in Elvis' hold so she began to form a plan. She bid her time and when it was right she managed to escape, however she became lost withing Stranglethorn Vale's dense jungle. If not for a group of Alliance explorers she may have been captured by the native Trolls and slaughtered.
Soon after coming into contact with the explorers she traveled north to capitol city of Stormwind. She stayed for a short time before moving onto the Dwarven city of Ironforge. She stayed there for quite some time before turning to Stormwind, which she decided to call home.
She met many new people, became friends with most of them. She found herself a new lover but he soon dumped her in order to protect her from a Death Knight he'd angered some time ago. She was later kidnapped by deranged warlock that collected some samples off Lia. These samples included one of her left tendrils as well as her right eye. Her then dumped her into Stormwind's canals, luckily she was rescued by a friend she'd been staying with.
After the kidnapping she decided she needed to make good on that promise of learning to fight for herself and become a defender so she looked into becoming a Vindicator as she had always dreamed. Her first mission led her to Northrend to help clean up the stray Scourge left over from after the Lich King's fall. While there she met another Vindicator and soon went on a mission with him. However, the mission ended in a miserable failure that nearly killed Lia.
They'd gone to see what was keeping the local Vrykul so quiet. The duo had stumbled upon them and were taken by surprise. They had to fight to escape and during the fight Lia was nearly disemboweled. If not for her fast thinking of bringing along a magical artifact to act as a quick exit if it was needed she would not have survived.
Her new friend, and soon to be lover, blamed himself for Lia nearly being killed but she told him it wasn't his fault. However, she had decided a life as a Vindicator wasn't for her. She focused once again on her priest training, this time delving more into the Shadow for a better offense.
Time passed and things were going well for Lia. She moved to Ironforge to live with the Vindicator and was hired by a salvaging and mercantile company. Her missions with them went well, and she became a better fighter and defender.
But as always good things didn't last. One night, when returning home, Lia was abducted by a couple of women that worked for her old boss, Elvis Swagmaster. They returned her to Booty Bay where he could properly punish her. She was stripped of everything she owned, including the enchanted crystal eye the Vindicator had given her to replace her lost eye. Her hair was cut off, they were none too kind about it and even took off part of her ear. She was chained up, naked, and then repeatedly whipped by her anger former boss. He had many plans of revenge for her since she'd run off and got herself all marred up, making her useless to him.
Luckily, the Vindicator and a few of her friends wouldn't stand by and let this happen. They quickly tracked Lia down and rescued her. In the end Elvis was rendered unconscious by a fellow priestess using the Shadow and the whole house was brought down on him and anyone else inside.
It took some time for Lia to physically recover from the ordeal, mentally is another story. While she acted as if it no longer bothered her she was still very much bothered. She had nightmares about it and at times she would be very jumpy, as if she expects her former boss to return. Nearly a year later she still has nightmares but they've grown less and less frequent.
PERSONALITY:
Despite all the loss and tragedy in Lia's life she's still a very sweet and caring person. Above all else she wants to be a protector of the weak and be able to defend herself and others. Perhaps it's because of all the loss in her life that she feels the need to put herself in such a position.
From a young age she's been studying the Light, and while she might not be as deeply religious as she once was. She still believes very strongly in the words of the Naaru and the teachings of the Light. She believes that no one is truly loss unless taken by death or demons. The Light will find a way to show you the path in most situations. Because of her studying to be a priestess of the Light she's also studied as a healer. However, not just a healer with magic but as well as surgical skill as well as potions. Being a healer is something that's affected her greatly, just as she wishes to protect she wishes to save any life she can.
For the most part, Lia is kind and gentle. However, there is a harsher side to her. While she does her best to keep her temper in check, some things do quite well to trigger it; attacking the weak, attacking her or her family/friends, the undead, and demons. Triggering her temper to can prove to be quite dangerous as she not known for holding back. Her kick is strong and her hooves, while they might not look it, are pretty sharp. Her tail is whip-like and will hurt quite a bit if hit with it. She also has a mean punch. And if getting physical isn't enough she'll slip into the Shadow and cause some real pain. Although, this is something she doesn't do often, nor does she like to do. She much prefers to settle things without violence if at all possible.
While Lia tries her best to keep her true emotions hidden and bottled away she wears a truly thin mask. Her emotions are so easily read, she hasn't yet had the years to practice hiding them as well as many older Draenei. If the emotions can't be read on her face then the way her tendrils curl or the way her tail moves. While the emotions may not always be anger or frustration she often gives into them quickly enough. And just as quickly as she gives into them, they pass. She's a very passionate woman and it shows in many things that she does.
She's not known for holding a grudge and often chooses to forgive and forget. After all, life is short (maybe not for a Draenei but you never know what could happen tomorrow). She generally has a good sense of humour and enjoys a good joke. She can be quite flirtatious and unlike much of her kind isn't too worried about a potential lover's race. After all, she isn't looking to get married and start a family after the loss of her husband.
Lia has plenty of book smarts but when it comes to most other things it may go over her head or she might over-think the situation and completely miss something obvious to others. Because of this and her lack of properly understanding Common, come on guys there's a lot of words that just don't exist in Draenic, she comes off as a bit of an airhead.
Despite how strong she seems she does have a few rather big fears. They include bugs of any kind (yes, even arachnids), deep water, confinement, chains, and being powerless. She has a deep hatred for the undead, seeing them as abominations, and demons (because, you know the whole genocide thing). She also has her vices, typically alcohol and sex for her. She grows frustrated if she can't get one or the other. These vices leave her conflicted, while a part of her, a very primal part, enjoy these things she also feels she shouldn't. That she should be better than her baser instincts, but that can be hard to do. They're almost something of an addiction for her.
ABILITIES:
All Draenei are naturally gifted with the Gift of the Naaru, which allows them to cast a quick heal. However, Lia is also a priest of both the Light and Shadow.
She is capable of healing with the Light as well as casting shields that can only take so much damage before shattering. The Light can also be used to illuminate the dark, to blind, or even as an attack. Typically undead, the shadow, and demons are weak against the Light as it is a holy energy. The Light can also be used to temporarily bolster one's physical strength (think a time limit of thirty minuets and it's not a good idea to use it again any time soon).
As for the Shadow she is capable of entering a form that appears to be made of pure shadow. In this form, physical attacks can still harm her but her Shadow magic is also much stronger (however she can't use the Light at all in this form). Her biggest weakness in this form is that she can't heal herself or anyone else and another Light (holy magic) user could severally hurt her. Shadow magic is not limited to this Shadowform, however. She can use it at any time she wishes, it's just not near as strong. With the aid of the Shadow Lia is capable of directly linking her mind with others to do harm or to help. However, there is a drawback in that she could receive feedback from the other person's mind and hurt herself as well as them. Alternatively, the Shadow can defend her mind from others trying to to get in as long as she's not opening it to someone else.
She can also call up a Shadow fiend, a medium sized tentacled horror, for a short period of time to fight for her. She can also summon shadow tendrils to hold her target in place for roughly a minute. The Shadow can also make decoys of herself that fade after coming into contact with something else or after a minute. This can also allow her to set up a decoy and turn invisible (slink into the shadows) for a few moments to make an escape.
Lia's is not completely dependent on her magic. She is a skilled enough fighter, relying mostly on staffs and maces but in hand to hand situations she does well enough. She is rather clumsy with swords and daggers but knows the basics of them.
