The causeway to Paris, Tuesday morning
Hannibal had texted Sparkle to let them know to bring themself and Hernando to the causeway this morning. If they were going to go around Paris shopping, they were going to do it in style, which meant the Bentley.
Meanwhile, she (if Sparkle had decided upon different pronouns, Hannibal could, too, and it would certainly make dealing with people who didn't know her easier) was on her phone, texting with Jono, who was being very naughty with the return texts. I'll be back this evening. You could have come if you wanted.
That got him an entirely different type of text in answer. Hannibal chuckled.
[For the two mentioned, but open if you want to drop by before they head out. First thread is open for broadcast, after that isn't, unless the squirrels come to Paris.]

The gorgeous ladies reasons, the sexy car reasons.
... Probably the 'American plates' reasons.
"Morning!"

"Good morning, Dr. Lecter. Thank you for inviting us on your shopping trip."

"Good morning." She smiled and nodded at Sparkle. "And you're quite welcome, Hernando. Everybody deserves a shopping trip in Paris, after all."
Hannibal herself was in Givenchy - plaid ruffled pants and a shirt with a lavender python-print jacket that swung around her ankles and prada lavender velvet platform pumps.

... There was a new canvas messenger bag slung over their shoulder instead. It helped quiet the twitches some, and had significantly fewer questionable stains on it.
"What better day for it, right? Hey, I can use my French!"
... The Parisians were going to hate Canadian French so much.

A beat.
"Unless you have? Maybe you have, didn't Kaidan take you to meet the babies once?"

They shrugged a bit.
"I swear someday they'll exchange notes and then nobody will ever have an uncomfortable flight again, just so long as they're not in the seat next to the bathroom or whatever."

... Sometimes, 'Sparkling' involved just making extra sure.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm taking the back too, I think. It isn't like Paris is a long trip."
By car. From Baltimore.

.. Well. True enough.

Maybe not. Sparkle had seen the hats that Hannibal figured were stylish, after all.
"Me, I have a really long list." A beat. A moment to consider present company. "Can we hit some museums while we're there, too?"
no subject
"We could spend weeks in the museums," Hannibal protested with a smile. "Perhaps choose one, or two of the smaller ones? We can always return later."
no subject
"The Louvre," they said, immediately, going a little wide-eyed. "Can we go to the Louvre?"
Look.
Look.
Art museum.
The art museum.

And she would prefer to be there sometime they weren't chaperoned because the chances of them getting kicked out of the museum would be.. more than sum zero.

"Then during fall break," they declared. "When everybody is off the island and business is going to be slow anyway. If I'm not in Toronto yet, if things haven't gotten started, we're making a day of it, and I do not intend to lose you in there."
That was a very shameless promise.
Still grinning, they leaned forward to stick their head between the two front seats and ask Hannibal, "Where did you have in mind first? Is today going to be fashion and then food and then more fashion?"
