Hannibal's house, Sunday
Hannibal had made breakfast already today: quiche lorraine, cafe au lait, walnut and fig bread, and orange juice. The cats had been fed their own meals. That meant the kitchen was free for Hannibal to try his hand at soft pretzels, both plain and with a variety of fillings.
Between Liz living here and Guillermo coming to visit, there would be more people here than there had been in...far too long. Was he becoming a hermit? That would simply not do. He should plan a dinner party. Or perhaps a summery party using the outside grill and kitchen? Hm. He could even do both!
[Expecting one, but open to the current roomie or anyone else that wants to smell food and drop in!]

He was looking forward to trying the new recipes and expanding on his cooking but he was trying not to feel to awkward as he made his way over to his teacher’s house and knocked on the door.
Except now he was wondering if maybe he should have brought over a homemade dish as well, he realised belatedly as he waited.

There was a pause and he wondered if he should add anything else, “you have a nice home,” he decided on as he looked around, that was a good thing to say right?

"Also I have been making pretzels for a friend who is staying with me, so you can help us eat those, if you like."
Had Guillermo said he liked cats? Because here came an energetic tuxedo kitten to pounce at his feet.

Then he smiled at the kitten who came over towards him, “oh hi there and what’s your name?” he asked as he crouched down and held out a hand to let the kitten sniff it.

He reached out a hand for the notebook.

“Oh…” he blinked a bit and then handed over the notebook to him.

He smiled at Joni. "She will never let you go voluntarily, I hope you know."

Guillermo was honestly going to have a hard time letting go of Joni himself at this point.

She could smell the food coming from the kitchen and found herself getting hungry again and decided to go and see what was happening.
She still felt a bit awkward though and she hung back as she watched Dr. Lecter, unsure of whether she should interrupt him or not.
“Hi,” she finally said quietly, wishing she didn’t feel so nervous.

“They’re delicious,” she told him and was already reaching for another.

Because after confessing everything with Steven to him, she wouldn't have blamed him if he had thought that.

A bored Hannibal was a dangerous Hannibal.
"Can I offer you a pretzel?" He asked. "There are a variety of fillings."
no subject
"And a pretzel sounds good, thank you" Dwight said with a nod.
"I wanted to apologize for being so MIA" Dwight continued after a moment's silence. "I know we had had plans to meet a while back then I got called away and things have been a bit... complicated on my end since getting back."

and introduced him to Liz if she was there. "How have you been?"no subject
"Things have been going. Slowly getting back to some semblance of normal. Running off to deal with a death in the family and then a less than ideal reunion with the old man... it shook me a bit more than I had anticipated. Gave a lot to think about too."

The doctor was, after all, the first real client Dwight had had when he first came to the island. He would always keep room open for a Dr. Lecter project.
