Dates
The hackathon takes place on January 17, 2026.
Eligibility
The hackathon is open to anyone interested in exploring AI for video creation.
Project and Submission Requirements
Participants must create a short video using PixVerse video generation models on the GMI platform. Projects must be submitted through the event’s Devpost page by clicking “Submit Project” and completing the required fields, including Project Name, Team Members, and Project Description. A publicly accessible video or demo link (such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive) must be included so judges can view the submission. Screenshots or GIFs may be added optionally. Judging will be based primarily on the submitted video.
Judging Criteria
Projects will be evaluated on impact, visual boldness, concept clarity, and overall cohesion. Risk-taking and experimentation are encouraged.
Prizes and Winner Selection
Awards will be given for Best Visual Storytelling, Best Use of PixVerse Models, and Audience Choice. Winners will receive 30,000 PixVerse credits (valued at approximately $500) plus a one-month PixVerse membership, $500 in GMI compute credits, and feature placements across PixVerse and GMI social channels, as well as on GMI’s podcast series. Winners for Best Visual Storytelling and Best Use of PixVerse Models will be announced live. Audience Choice voting will remain open until January 20, 2026, and results will be announced on X shortly after.
