Test post? I don't know!
Dec. 28th, 2025 02:10 amI've had stray thoughts of using dreamwidth or livejournal or something to share or articulate thoughts. (But only dreamwidth for now because I realised the people who introduced me to livejournal are ones I haven't talked to in nearly a decade...)
Don't know yet how much I'll get around to doing that. This is just a test post to get a feel of the site function. Maybe 2026 will be my renewed year of blogging on here and tumblr and who knows where else (Probably not).

Welcome!
Date: 2025-12-27 07:03 pm (UTC)The Follow Friday Master Post has lists of active communities by topic where you can look for some based on your interests. Many bloggers use recurring posts to pin down their key interests and maintain activity, which is also a good source of inspiration if you aren't sure what you want to post yet.
Watch for
>> I realised the people who introduced me to livejournal are ones I haven't talked to in nearly a decade <<
Dreamwidth doesn't have the activity level of old LiveJournal, but far exceeds that of current LiveJournal.

Some things that may help with that:
* Think about what posting schedule you'd like (e.g. once a week, once a month) then put that in a calendar or reminder app so you don't forget it.
* Small posts are quick and easy to do, which helps form the habit without feeling like a chore. Share a like, "Three Things Make a Post," your daily wordcount, whatever.
* A weekly or monthly update of activities is helpful to keep track of what you've been doing or posting.
* There are also communities that post daily, weekly, or monthly check-in or gather posts which you can participate in, or echo on your own blog.
