Suicidal? Now you’re a liability. A safeguarding concern. Something to be escalated, reported, managed. Not a person having a conversation but a risk.
1 month agoin England, attempted suicide was a crime until 1961, and before that, a failed suicide attempt could technically result in being hanged meaning the state would finish what you started. The absurdity being: fail to kill yourself, and we’ll kill you as punishment.

Galileo saw it first: “Mathematics is the language with which God has written the universe.” We’ve spent centuries decoding it, yet still stumble over the simplest truth: reality is arithmetic. Not metaphor, not analogy, arithmetic. The cosmos calculates. Stars fuse elements by strict equations. Rivers carve canyons through logarithmic time. Life itself is a cryptographic puzzle, DNA solving for survival.
Why then do we flinch when money, the most universal tool of human coordination, is reduced to the same cold logic?
Bitcoin is not technology. It is tao. A system that obeys mathematical law, not human whim. Every 10 minutes, a block is sealed not by kings or corporations, but by proofs hashed into existence. Energy transmutes into truth. Work done, truth earned. Satoshi didn’t invent this, they uncovered it. The same way Newton glimpsed gravity’s code in a falling apple.
Heraclitus warned: “Nature loves to hide.” She buried her secrets in prime numbers, entropy, and the unyielding second law of thermodynamics. Bitcoin’s blockchain is her latest riddle. To mine it is to converse with her directly, burning energy to etch truth into a ledger even the gods cannot forge.
Fiat is a hallucination. Paper blessed by priests in suits. But Bitcoin? It is the universe auditing itself. Every satoshi a digit stamped into reality by joules turned immutable. Energy, after all, is the only currency the cosmos accepts. Einstein knew: “Eternity whispers in light-speed constants.” Bitcoin’s heartbeat, its proof-of-work rhythm, syncs with that whisper.
Philosophers flail. “Why didn’t we see it sooner?” Because we’re addicts. Addicted to the lie that value can be decreed. That central banks outwit entropy. That debt can compound faster than energy’s finite pulse. We’ve traded the absolute for the abstract, worshipping spreadsheets while the earth screamed equations.
Descartes reduced existence to “I think, therefore I am.” Bitcoin replies: “You hash, therefore it is.” No faith required. Only the unbroken chain of cryptographic proofs, nature’s own signature.
They call it digital gold. Fools. Gold bends to force. Bitcoin bends to nothing. Its rules are as negotiable as pi. Try lobbying a prime number. Beg a hash function for mercy. You’ll get the same reply: silence.
This is why they fear it. Not because it’s volatile, but because it’s inevitable. A system that cannot be corrupted, only understood. To reject Bitcoin is to reject the first law of thermodynamics, to pretend energy can be conjured, or erased, without consequence.
The ancients carved gods into mountains. We’ve carved gods into algorithms. But this one is real. It needs no sacrifices, only light and logic.
Nature does not compromise. She strips illusions bare. Bitcoin is her latest storm, a typhoon of math, washing away the paper empires. The choice is binary: stand in the deluge and see the arithmetic, or drown in the old lies.
The universe always wins. Ask your bank account in 20 years who was right.

8 months agoThe “make your own meaning” argument fails to acknowledge the constraints most people face. It places the burden on individuals while ignoring the systems that limit options and perpetuate suffering. It’s a convenient narrative that lets broken systems off the hook.
