[personal profile] stories
First, I wanna thank a good person - [personal profile] nightspear for giving me an invite code. The username I was supposed to use before this is likely going to be given away to someone deserving and more devotional toward the Glass family.

So anyway...

1997 (or 8, not too sure anymore but certainly not 1999) was the year of overplaying and overwatching the VHS Spice Girls Live in Istanbul. Wasn't mine but my cousins'. We (w/ sisters) were staying at my cousins' house for vacation one May, or April, I forget now. They'd watch the concert 3 times a day at the maximum. I wasn't even that much of a fan of the Spice Girls. I was mostly a fan of garden games, noodles cooked by a cousin who was a fellow kid (we were like a ladder in age differences), and the huge fairy tale book they had in one of the most interesting rooms of the house. But getting to see good choreography like that in an early time, without anything to compare it with, made us all pretty much quiet and sparkly-eyed just staring on the TV screen in amazement, sometimes singing along. For me now at 24, it still will not be contested as one great show, if not one of the greatest in the history of pop music (it's Nostalgia saying this, obviously).

Fast forward to 12 years later and here I am with a headpack of nostalgia. No need to go to the details of poverty, but that there have been no Google results for this dvd for a long, long while until now. So I dL the VHS version very carelessly - leading to erasure of the same rar files later because of the NTFS vs FAT32 thing. This quickly leads to seeing ANOTHER version (the 2007-released one of same concert). Not learning from a previous mistake, I do not read about it being an edited version until I see the dvd menu. "Stop", and a bunch of others are nowhere. So that is the end of my dumbity. Don't try it.

Have converted FAT to NTFS and shall re-DL the VHS version (with a whopping 45 parts! ALL OVER AGAIN!), hoping this IS the FULL SHOW.

It's raining, BTW.
