Must have applied as a hacker and been accepted to particapate.

Project and Submission Requirements

All projects must have been developed in the 36 hour timeline. Any projects developed before will be disqualified. 

To be eligible, a team must submit their project to the devpost and participate in the project expo, which is where judging will take place. When submitting to the devpost, it is important to mark with track and challenge(s) your team is partaking in.

Additional Rules & Guidelines

  • Teams must consist of 2–4 hackers. Solo participation is not permitted.
  • Each team may submit only one project.
  • All teams are automatically eligible for the General Track.
  • Teams may opt in to at most one specialized track if they choose to, and may submit to multiple challenges provided they meet each challenge’s requirements.
  • Projects may not be submitted to any other hackathon occurring during the same timeframe.
  • Submissions must include a project description, a demo, and an accessible code repository or build (e.g., GitHub, Replit).
  • Public frameworks, libraries, APIs, and open-source tools are allowed but must be credited.
  • AI/LLM tools may be used but must be disclosed. Projects should not be simple reskins of existing AI tools.
  • Judging will take place in person during the Project Expo in a science-fair style format.
  • Only accepted hackers may participate. Organizers, mentors, volunteers, sponsors, and judges may not submit projects or be part of a team.
  • For demographic-specific challenges (e.g., Beginner Hack), teams must meet the stated eligibility requirements.
  • Live demos for judging must be no longer than 3 minutes(an additional 2 minutes are added for any questions the judges may have.)
  • Demo videos submitted on Devpost must be no longer than 2 minutes.
