When he was cast hopelessly into the pit of his own creation, an almighty god called out. Whisper my praises, it promised, and I will surely give you comfort without end. So he sang out with childish glee, crying to heaven and all it's newly acquired corpses that he was blameless, because he'd done it all for another. Thus he gave himself over to insanity, that promised paradise where reality held no meaning. And lo, in thanks he gave an offering of dolls as sacrifice to the god that had saved him. Each he cut apart, dug his hands into their guts and his scissors into his eyes with unrestrained fervor. And from each and every one of them, blood flowed freely, pouring from flesh and from blade, endless rivers of red that glinted in the dying light.
