I hope you’ve had a great start to the new year. We have a nice little offer for you this month. If you order an 8BitDo pad with any physical game, you get a £3 discount on the joypad.
Also to help out those of you overseas I’ve overhauled the Ebay listing, so there are more current products available here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/206030561740
I’ll be keeping that available for those of you that prefer it.
There’s Technoshed content appearing in Next mag – so there’s a shout out there. Jamie (our resident rock god) has been making videos on the next, and music making in general. Give him a watch here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCT0od_7T8mWEWHpqg0GKMg
Stay tuned for next month’s exciting installment – same time same bat channel!

Thanks all, and look forward to seeing you over the weekend!
It’s shaping up to be a really busy time in the Technoshed. We’re busy working on new games which we hope to share with you lovely people very soon – some of them will be on display at Crash Live, talking of which, if you order and select the no post option, and say you’re collecting from crash you’re reserving your games/cables/controllers to be collected at Crash sans postage, but don’t forget to actually pick them up!
We now have 3 different cables you’ll find really useful for your next!
The Scart cable for using analogue video – the next looks amazing on a CRT. SCART
The tape cable for loading games from a cassette deck Tape Lead
PS2 Splitter cable for connecting a PS2 mouse and a PS2 keyboard to your next/ngo/xberry-pi at the same time. PS2 Splitter
We look after games for a whole bunch of developers now: Rusty Pixels for Rusty Pixels WASP for WASP Cavern for Cavern Greenman for Greenmansoft and Bret’s Amiga MOD version of the music.
Last but definitely not least: TX-1696 for Technoshed and Lucky Red Fish’s TX-1696 and Music collection (including limited edition vinyl – there will never be another run!)
We also still have the fantastic 8bitdo M30 2.4G controllers which are perfect for the Next (and the sega Megadrive!) 8bitdo
Torvin: Echo of the Realms is progressing well – I’ll just share this to whet your appetite :
If you’d like a gameplay taster don’t forget theres a demo available at: https://technoshedsoftware.com/torvin-echo-of-the-realms – the graphics have moved on massively thanks to the amazing talents of Zingot. There are multiple pieces of AY music in progress for the later levels. We can’t wait to share more with you!
I’ve written a simple plugin for searching for Spectrum Next games. I’ll be sharing this with all the other sites that are written on wordpress. I’m also working on a version that Fusion can use with their shopify based site too.
I’d love to hear your ideas and suggestions. The intention is to keep all the next sites in sync so wherever you find you games list, it’s complete. I’ll be sharing the plugin soon!
We will be taking a few Nextduinos in the next style case – it has a couple of extras with it only for the show!
I’ve just re-enabled US postage on technoshedsoftware.com. I’ve added a mechanism to try and cover the surcharge correctly depending on number of items ordered. If anyone tries it and finds issues please let me know. I will take the attitude of sending a couple of orders and holding back so we can see how it goes without you or me losing money or games.
Bret (Bapstar) had a another great review of his excellent Puremod remix CDs – Remixing the music from Xenobrigade and TX-1696 on amiga. Be sure to check them out on the shop! https://technoshedsoftware.com/product-category/cd
Hi Shedsters, Hope you’re all well and enjoying the vague warmth and moistness that is the summer.
We had a great weekend at Retcon speaking to lots of you lovely people, and were there to see the fantastic news about KS3. I was also able to catch up with Tony Warriner and Stoo Cambridge. It’s not released by technoshed, but Rich is doing the sound and helping with some of the audio code on this title (pledge here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tonywarriner/urbx-warriors-an-original-game-for-the-spectrum-next).
We’re currently beavering away in the background here at Technoshed bringing you new games and software. there is a nice teaser here of something we’re working hard on alongside other projects https://zxart.ee/eng/authors/z/zingot1/super-spinball2/
We still have plenty of M30 8bitdo pads left and we will be selling some bluetooth adapters soon. In the meantime I must mention our friends at https://www.retroez.com/shop/ZX-Spectrum-c173863538/. Ady is looking at producing more hardware for speccy and next alongside the amiga hardware he already produces and is a lovely guy.
Hi to all you beautiful people out there. It’s been a while since the last update and I wanted to share that we’re now offering 8bitdo M30 joypads that are one of the best controllers for your next!
We’ve finally sold out of Dougie do and Websters and will soon be making the promised donation to the Stroke association.
We have some games in progress and hope to bring you more on that very soon, but in the meantime we have Xenobridge Extinction, TX1696 as well as the vinyl and amiga soundtracks for TX1696 still available!
Hi All, Just a warning that if you want to get hold of physical editions of these games then this is your last opportunity! It was a limited edition release to charity and once they’re sold we’ll be sending the royalty payment to the stroke association!
