Eligibility

Everyone is eligible! However, each submission may only list a maximum of six (6) team members.

Project and Submission Requirements

We want you to #codeForGood by building anything that helps people! Our four themes are:

  • Health
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Empowerment

You're welcome to build projects that combine themes as long as you clarify your primary theme and your secondary themes. If you're not sure which theme fits best, feel free to classify your project under Empowerment since that can operate as a catch-all term. For example, if you built a project addressing safety and security, we would usually consider that to be empowering others.

We also want to account for different project types:

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

  • DESIGN
    • How easy would it be for users to understand the functions of this MVP?
    • How well does this MVP use visual, audio, and tactile features to engage users?
    • How easy would it be for users to identify and suggest potential improvements for this MVP?
  • DEVELOPMENT
    • How impactful is this MVP within its primary theme?
    • How innovative is this MVP within its primary type?
    • How complete is this MVP?
  • DEMONSTRATION
    • How clearly and concisely did the presenter(s) convey the challenge this MVP seeks to address within its primary theme?
    • How clearly and concisely did the presenter(s) convey the solution this MVP provides for its primary theme?
    • How well did the presenter(s) explain the future of this MVP?

Joining this event commits you to upholding five qualities with respect to yourself, your teammates, your competitors, and others around the world as we work together to create a better future for all.
