I often watch SPN with my friend Shinobu. Even though she really just started watching to practice her English, she's really gotten into it and is even thinking of joining LJ so she can meet other fans.
She's never been part of a fandom before, so I gave her a rundown. She thinks it sounds fun, especially the fanfic element of it. But today, I brought up ship wars.
The following conversation ensued.
Her: So, people argue over which characters should date other characters?
Me: Not neccessarily argue, but yeah. That's pretty much it.
H: So what do you get if you win?
M: What do you mean?
H: You like Dean with Castiel. So if your team makes the best arguments, do they put them together on the show?
M: ... Oh my God! How great would that be???
I love this idea. It's so logical! Make the best points, win your ship for real!
But is "It would be really really hot" a debate winner?
