Masashi just went into the attic and brought down the "for when you're ready" crib he made right after our wedding.
I'm all teary-eyed.
I've been the hold-out on the baby-having issue for the last few years, and he's never done anything to pressure me. But I look at this beautiful, handcrafted baby-bed, all soft colours and built-in toys in case the baby gets bored, and I know how much he's wanted this. I'm just so so glad to finally be in the headspace I need to be in for us to start our family.

Oh! New girl's name! What do people think of "Karin"? I quite like it; it's close to Karen to fit in back home, but Japanese enough to work here. Rin-chan for short.
