I am trying to watch the premier of Sanctuary on SciFic but...my GOD Tapping's "accent" is giving me a migraine. I don't think I have ever heard such a poorly done British (Australian?) accent in my life. I've seen high school plays with better voice work.

Honestly, has anyone made it though this whole episode yet? Is it worth the effort? I know the webseries was supposed to be decent but...my god, she sounds like a little kid doing an accent while playing dress up! Like she's an eight year old playing Sherlock Holmes!

Honest opinion from anyone here, are my efforts worth it? Or should I just spare myself the pain and pop a few pills now and find a Criminal Minds rerun to watch or something? Even CSI is sounding halfway decent right now...

I find it amusing because Amanda was born in England (left when she was young, I think). Yeah, I watched this as webisodes, before it was picked up by SciFi, and ...it was okay. I liked the story. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Her accent is atrocious and should be ditched. Peter Deluise was in the web one, and I adore him.
Give it a couple of episodes! It may get better!

I gave up on CSI in like, season 4. Much as I loved Grissom, I couldn't take the rest of the show. I hear Lawrence Fishburne is going to be joining the show after Grissom leaves though, so will have to start watching again.

I am stunned to learn she spent so much as a day in England in her life. I meen, I think I read something like that years ago, back when I first dipped a toe into the SG1 fandom back when it very firt airred on SciFi (I didn't have Showtime when it was first created), but I did not believe I remembered correctly after whatching...that.

I managed to get all the way though one ep and it was just painful. I very much doubt I'll watch this series. My love of the casting though (Hewlett! Kavan! McGillian!) that I might seek out the oringal websiodes. They might be worth it, but what I watched on the SciFi Channel last night? Totaly was not. I think just sitting though two hours of that is gunna haunt me as a true fan of SciFi. That was such an insult to fans of the medium everywhere.

And I still watch re-runs of CSI, but I gave up seeking out new eps long, long ago. The "science" that show tries to pull is just painful, and it always leaves me wanting to bash my head in to make it work. Love some of the charactors (Greg! Nick! Awww, Nick!), but hate a lot of the choices they've made (Grissom/Sarah ::shudders:: ::wimpers::) and as I said, the mockery they make of was started out as actual science and twisted for "entertainment" is just...it burns.
