The girl comes from another universe and the demon falls in love. She does not change for him: she strengthens her will and in the end, it's the demon who changes for her. It's not easy to steal back one's soul, but Petre is nothing if not able to find loopholes. There is no eternal youth or broken kingdom to rule. Instead there is life, quietly hidden away from a war that rages on. They age, as people do, and Louisa is born as an only child, carefully protected but otherwise, unremarkable.

Much of her remains the same, though much of also does not. She is a naturally manipulative person who, maybe despite herself, struggles to form long-lasting bonds. Her family move a lot, and this does not really help. People become temporary and relationships hardly last long enough to become invested. But people will always be useful, and there is always something to be gained.

But it's not that she is incapable of decency or that she even doesn't want a long-lasting thing: in some ways, she does. It's just that those things are often difficult, and Louisa likes things mostly easy.

She is an easy-going person and while it is difficult to really make her mad, she is prone to pouting and tantrums when things don't go her way. When she is angered, truly, her temper is a force to be reckoned with and often she seeks revenge in vicious and vindictive ways.

Those who know her through whatever means, know that she is fun, but unreliable. They would describe her as easy to like, but hard to trust. More than once Louisa has betrayed her friends trust for the sake of gossip, but they are hard pressed to disagree that they probably did the same to her first.
