Protocol Services

The duties of the Protocol Services include the dealings of the President of the Republic with foreign heads of state and diplomatic representatives based in Finland.

Protocol Services is in charge of organising high level visits and state ceremonies, as well as handling the formalities of international relations.

The office of the Protocol Services takes care of matters related to diplomatic privileges and immunities. It also issues residence permits for the staff of foreign missions and international organizations.
