Umbel creates and consults on beautiful acoustic surfaces, objects, and rooms. We work with manufacturers, architects, interior designers, and owners to develop and integrate acoustic performance. We've worked in wood, stone, resin, glass, concrete, metals, plants, plaster, books, light fixtures and, of course, felt, foam, and textiles.

Manufacturer Services

Umbel helps manufacturers research, design, market, and deploy acoustic products. We make sense of parameters like NRC and STC, guide testing and marketing, train sales teams, develop CEU content, and provide project support. À la carte services are available.

Projects

For select projects, Umbel will put together a custom scope and fee. This structure is appropriate for architectural projects, bespoke surface and room design, artistic work, and R+D initiatives.
