General likes in fic
I've mostly requested canons where I really love the setting as well as the characters, but I'm absolutely up for a good AU if you can maintain the dynamics between the characters. I love historical and setting details thrown in, and I love focus on characters. I love found family. I love people finding a place where they can be accepted, respected and loved for everything that they are. I love open communication, trust deep enough to allow people to be vulnerable and have their trust validated. I love people discovering things about themselves and each other.

While I do like a bit of smut, I'm honestly just as happy reading less explicit fic, so please don't feel like you need to write smut if you're not comfortable doing so. If you do want to write something explicit, I really like explicit consent. It doesn't have to be drawn out, it doesn't even need a lot of focus, but a mention goes a long way. If kink is involved, the same goes for negotiation - clarity that everyone involved knows what they're getting involve in and that they actively want it. And that everyone gets looked after afterwards!

If you'd like to write something involving kink, please exclude age play, watersports, scat, vomit and vore. Pre-negotiated non-consent or dubious consent is fine, but please include the negotiations for that to make it clear that consent was given in advance and that the lack of consent is only in play.

Some kinks I like to read: dominance and submission, bondage, honour bondage, rope bondage (including shibari), suspension, spanking, flogging, orgasm control, hair pulling.

What I love about the fandom: More gleeful anachronism! So much colour! Theatre and performance and politics and queerness and nothing and no one being as simple and straightforward as they first appear. Competent, stubborn, fearless women. Kit Marlowe, eyeliner-wearing fey queer goth punk nihilist spy and playwright of my heart, a character who might as well have strolled straight out of my id. Alice Burbage, determined to make her own path in the world no matter what it might cost. Moll, still finding her place between her employer and the world of the theatre.

What I'd love to see in fic: Kit's mercurial nature. Spycraft. The intersection of political, personal, and poetry. London or the world beyond it. Alice's stubborness. Moll's strength and softness.

What I love about the fandom: Found family, Victorian London, the compromises made for survival without sacrificing self or chances for happiness. Performative Spiritualism and the stagecraft of it all. Complex characters with mixed motivations.

What I'd love to see in fic: the family bond Justin's made with Emma and Sukey. What keeps them together beyond the need for self-preservation. How Justin and Nathaniel work out their relationship and living arrangements after the events of the Sins of the City books.

What I love about the fandom: the inherent kindness. Queerness threaded throughout the worldbuilding and accepted. The acknowledgment that life can be absurd and people are always inherently essentially people.

What I'd love to see in fic: paladins being paladins, both on and off duty. The family the paladins of the Saint of Steel have forged. Interactions with paladins of other gods. Practicality.

What I love about the fandom: the sheer glee, the whole "yes and" approach of the roleplaying and the characters. The joy of embracing failures of the dice because it means something interesting's going to happen. A group of characters who know each other but can't remember why they know each other.

What I'd love to see in fic: Dariax's easy acceptance and ability to roll with the punches. Opal's growth and self discovery. Where they go next.

What I love about the fandom: the setting. The time period where so much is changing and still being fiercely fought for and opposed. Women making their own paths in the world in different ways and at different stages of their lives.

What I'd love to see in fic: Freddie and Bel challenging each other, supporting each other (or at least trying to), never letting the other pretend that something is other than it truly is. Lix as inspiration and reluctant mentor to both of them and her reaction to that.

What I love about the fandom: oh man, these awesome nerds. I love their kindness and their determination to keep doing better. I love their constant work to include as many variants of people as possible in their storytelling. I love their creativity and their drive. I love how much they love each other, trust each other, and support each other. I love the creative risks they're willing to take because of that trust. I love Matt's endlessly inventive brain and the way he shows his love for his players through the world he's created. I love Marisha's determination and the way she gives her full attention and effort to whatever she chooses to do. I love Taliesin leaning into weirdness and being entirely unashamed to embrace life beyond the mainstream. I love Ivan's care in crafting games that push for more intensity and how hard he works to create a safe space for his players where everyone's agreed boundaries but still trust him enough to push those boundaries.

What I'd love to see in fic: Pretty much anything. Domestic movie night/afternoon at Matt & Marisha's place with Dagon bothering everyone in turn. Sleepy post-game cuddles after a hard studio session. Enthusiastic sex in any combination of people. Formal kink scenes that mirror the trust we've seen in games. Show me their comfort with each other and how much they care.
