Solidifying PHP Basics
Feb. 3rd, 2026 08:33 pmI've been keeping up with the PHP learning and finished the first part of Gio's course! The entire first part covers procedural programming, and the second part moves into OOP, and I did dip my toe in to the first video for that part buuut...OOP seems like a whole other level. Not sure I'm ready to really dig into all that yet.
So instead I'm looking for exercises to do with what I've already learned! Y'know, with functions and arrays at and all that. In my last post, I mentioned that I was bounding back and forth between W3Schools and Gio's course, but I've pretty much abandoned W3Schools at this point. Instead, I'm using Codecademy! They've got similar written lessons to W3Schools, except they have coding exercises to go with each section. (W3Wchools only had, like, multiple choice questions with each section.)
I'm finding this incredibly helpful to gain real understanding of the language, especially since it involves typing most things in from scratch.
Would love recommendations for any other good places to find beginner exercises for PHP!
