I decided to pick up PHP and MySQL to revive my little project over at

ggtcg and it seemed like a good time to start things back up in this community! I fiddled with PHP awhile back and picked up a bit just from tinkering with free scripts here and there, but now I'm going through an actual dedicated tutorial and I'm loving it! I'm having to stop myself from going TOO hard so I don't burn out on it all.

At first I was moving between W3Schools and a Youtube tutorial that got good recommendations by Program with Gio. But after trying both, I'm mainly using the Youtube tutorial now because it really is pretty great! Already I'm identifying things I could do differently in my project, and ways to accomplish the things I need to make work.

Also wanted to share my notes! I read that taking notes by hand can really help retain and understand information, so as I go through Gio's course I'm trying to take purposeful notes on things.
