Posting To DW: This journal is for comments only. This journal doesn't let me collect comments in LJ-Archive - there's a bug - so there's no point in posting here. My iJay has a feed. NB: I stopped using iJay in Sept of 2012. I may start a new journal on DW for posts and comments, undecided.

About Adding: When I am using a journal for posting AND commenting, I prefer people to drop a line saying something ("Just want to read" / whatever). People who don't, I ban. The journal has an rss feed. If you don't want to say hi - use that. But you don't get to comment on my life without introducing yourself.

Unsubbing: No drama. Untick the box.

The Standard Information: This journal is a personal journal. The entries in general are not flocked. My personal journal is usually not flocked because it deals with issues of chronic depression, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, possible lupus, childhood abuse, mental illness and mental health. It is about my life, my health, my thoughts and my questions.

My journal is a record of my ups and downs, my triumphs in therapy and my stumbling blocks. It is about how I learn to be my own person and is filled with my introspections.

I keep my journal 85-90% unlocked in honor of websites I have stumbled over in the past ten years that stopped me putting knife to flesh and taking that one step closer to disaster; trying to commit suicide or succeeding. Sometimes the best thing you can do for someone, even without you being aware of it, is to let them know they're not alone.

I don't warn for content, though there are cut-tags and description tags used frequently.

A Safe Space: My journal is not the place to be an ass about race, sexuality, sexual orientation, gender orientation, gender, gender equality, people with disabilities, or anything else that involves you not treating groups of human beings with basic decency and respect. You won't be tolerated.

Deleting Comments: If you say something that's deemed offensive, I'd appreciate your apology SANS deleting the offending comment as if that somehow erases what happens. Please do not delete comments, thereby confusing the narrative history in my journal. I'm inclined to ban people who cannot stand by their own words, good, ill or eventually corrected.

Icons: Sometimes they're pretty damn personal and it will say so. Please do not take my icons. They are parts of my online face/persona. Stumbling across someone else using my 'icon face' is like stumbling across someone wearing my underwear. Words are said; Sides are taken; Reputations are marred; Wank gets made.

Pseuds: Willow, The Willow, WitchWillow. I prefer to be addressed as Willow. Yes I do have one more Pseud. No I will not respond to people addressing me in this space about concerns having to do with that Pseud. That is my soap box. This is my front porch. Please, act accordingly. Don't make me question your home training.

Things Fannish: My drabbles and rambles are randomly being added to the AO3. I rarely watch television right now, however and when I comment on shows it's usually via meta. This is not a particularly fannish journal. I no longer read much fanfiction. Shows of my <3 - Deepspace Nine, DC Animated Universe, The Sentinel, Starship Troopers: Roughneck Chronicles, The Life and Times Of Juniper Lee, Fillmore, Juuni Kokki.

Manga: Yes.

Superheros: I'm currently not following Marvel and DC. They hurt me. But even the current ego swollen leadership cannot dull my love of Batman, Dazzler, Cloak & Dagger, Monica Rambeau (I've liked her since back when she led the Avengers), The Rest of Next Wave including the Sexy Robot, Scott Summers, Kurt Wagner & Beast. I follow super heroic chars in webcomics. I need to catch up on Invincible and my favourite (new) Wonder Woman is from the 2009 animated movie. WW from the DCAU comes next. Lynda Carter is 3rd. The phrase WWBD in my interests involves Batman.

My favourite DCU writer is [personal profile] mithen.

The Willow

A seemingly shy and gentle creature with soft, deceptively simple, ensnaring curls and a wide brown-eyed stare. Faithfully loyal, loving and protective, the Willow is rare indeed.

She is to be cherished.

For once roused to righteous anger she will take her place, a fear conquering companion at your side, sword in hand and the name of the cause on her lips. When personally threatened or annoyed The Willow pounces, worrying and frustrating a person to tears, often drawing blood and ripping off a limb.

Only the carefully trained or wildly reckless should dare attempt intrusion upon her marked territory or dare contest her chosen cause.

Those who cannot stand the sight of blood or brain matter shouldn't even be in the woods. For all this is done openly, honestly and as fearlessly as she knows how.

Are you brave?
