All contractors within the DoD supply chain are now required to meet Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements. The mandatory certification follows a phased rollout having started on November 10, 2025, with Level 1 & 2 self-assessments and escalating to Level 2 third-party assessments in 2026. Without certification, organizations will be ineligible for new contracts or renewals, and with preparation typically taking 12-24 months, it’s critical to start now.
