I heard recently that some valid artist decreted that "now angels/vampires/etc... are old news". Meaning an old, outdated and surpassed subject.This made me ponder if I, personally, really want to credit such an affirmation or not.After pondering, my consideration is that as far as I'm concerned :1-I love supernatural /mythological creatures, I've always loved them so far and I'm not yet bored to paint them NOR to see other artists depicting them.2-It might be "old news" now, but since I began representing such themes some 20 years ago, I must have been both "ahead", at pace, and outdated, if what has been hinted is true (perhaps it's not!...
