Hello anyone reading these lines. 🙂
I am an artist from a beautiful country in the heart of Europe - Slovakia. I have been fascinated by the beauty of the local nature since I was a child. This unique beauty I loved to discover in every season. My parents led me to love nature, and over time that fondness only grew and became stronger. At the same time, I always enjoyed creating something, since childhood I made friendship bracelets, bookmarks, and later I took pliers and wire from my father's tool case and started making the first rings and bracelets. 🙂
My love for nature in all its forms led me to study pedagogy of geography (and mathematics) at university. I got knowledge of minerals, all types of landscapes and, last but not least, the flora that grows here. I spent all my free time in nature. In forests, on rocks, on water. On foot, by bike, by canoe or cross-country skiing.
And my life changed. Two small children came and the free time was suddenly desperately short. And somewhere in the middle of my frustration with the lack of nature and the loss of many friends, my best friend from school days reappeared. We started writing to each other - and what eventually turned out to be even more important - we started writing a story together. Just like that, for the joy of creation and freedom.
That story means more to both of us today than we can tell. For 3 years now, we have been discovering, dreaming, fighting, loving and laughing with our characters every day as much as we cry with them. The name of my shop comes from our story - Aranel-en-tauri - which means "princess of the woods" in Elvish and is an ancient name for the type of dryads to which my character belongs. It was also an affectionate expression between my character and her beloved one... and honestly, it pulled at my heartstrings. I can't think of a better name for my shop. Aranel-en-tauri.
And in addition to all this, our friendly relationship has deepened and strengthened again. And somewhere in the middle of this creation came my idea to create a silver pendant as a unique gift for her. She helped me with the design, not knowing that it would not be a pendant made of ordinary clay, and she was very surprised when she saw the result in silver. 😄
And that was the beginning of my creative journey, in which my desire to capture the beauty of nature is combined with delicate and detailed work that fulfills me. My friend - as an artist - understands all the problems I had to go through and was a great support from the very beginning.
And for now, I am creating and I'm learning. There is a certain magic in it for me - to capture the beauty of leaves that would otherwise fall in autumn, in the permanent form of silver jewelry that preserves their beauty. I love the moments when I look in detail at each leaf on the tree, looking for "the perfect one". I love the moments when I look at my favorite trees and see how they are doing. I love moments when someone enjoy and appreciate my work and finds in it a unique piece for themselves or a gift for someone close to them. A small piece of silver created with patience and love, a small piece of Forest magic.
Happy Birthday!
