I'm glad to hear. There probably isn't much to read except for what's up of the Ilder family story, though - A Red Bite and the recipes. Decided to put it on hold for a while as one of the upcoming storylines, and a major plot point, hit close to home with something that recently befell a friend. It is coming, just not right now.
The gist of it is that while the origins are lost in legend, predator and prey have enjoyed some degree of peace since before recorded history. It is a setting where only mammals are anthropomorphic, so animal protein is not a pressing issue. Conflict mostly arises from cultural reputations different species have accumulated throughout history.
