My Bio

Prior to joining Deviant Art my only creative images were my DJ mix-tape covers. I became ill 12 years ago which left me mainly housebound. On medical advice I have several hobbies, which I can pursue for 30-45 minutes at a time, which require little energy. Creating AI art has become one of those hobbies.

I became interested in AI last year and have 5 LLMs on my PC which run locally (Gemma2 by Google, Llama3 by Meta, Mistral, OpenChat, and Qwen2 by Alibaba). I use these, among other things, to create prompts for image generation based on my own descriptions and ideas. My PC isn't powerful enough to create images at the present time so I use CHATGPT for this.

I believe there is an art to creating images using AI. From the initial creative ideas to creating a suitable prompt for image generation, and tweaking prompts based on the images produced as well as post processing (I use GIMP). I really enjoy doing this in the limited time frames that I have and can go back to it as I feel able to.

I don't use social media.

All my images, except a few, are free to download for personal use only. Not for commercial use. Not to be displayed online without my express permission. Absolutely no sales or NFTs.

The text below the Artwork above describes it as an analogy of Neighborhood Integration but it turns out to be something more as you will see as you read below.

Thanks for saving my "Two Birch Trees" painting. Initially it was painted for my sister after she lost a son by gun shot. It was a place that she liked to go and sit after the tragedy. She took a photo of the place and I converted it into a painting which hangs on her wall. Time has passed and her life is going well for her now, however I'm not sure that anyone really gets over that kind of loss. I'm lucky that my four children have done well and have their own children now.

I did not mention this detail in the Comments under the painting as I did not want members to select it based upon sympathy.

I am really glad that your sister gets comfort from your painting. What a beautiful and thoughtful gesture.
