Spring has sprung

I'm in southern England, it's sunny, flowers are flowering, bees are starting to buzz, and I have a new camera so I'll be testing the macro on all kinds of plants and invertebrates soon... I'll also be spring-cleaning my gallery, so some of the dusty unloved pieces will soon be gone. Still grovelling for donations too... :)

Another month or so, and (I think) I'm still improving - I'm definitely starting to prune some of my less successful photos. I've being trying out some new ideas - including shots at gigs, and currently working on some coastal land and waterscapes.

A few months in...

It's been a few months since I dived into dA and I'm loving it. Some of my early photos have gone - I thought they were OK, but (I think) I'm improving and looking back, some weren't so good. What's the source of improvement? A mix of things - inspiration from other artists, attempting to get photos accepted by some of the trickier groups, practice, knowing that what I submit is out there for all to see, practice, comments and so on. Currently on a bit of a wildlife theme...
