Why I made Lucifer a Dominion in Rosegore
First off, I am well aware that there's little to no scriptural evidence that says Lucifer is a Dominion, most people believe he's either a cherub, seraph, or archangel, and that's fine. That being said, choosing to portray Lucifer as a Dominion in the Rosegoreverse allows for a version of him that is both theologically plausible and creatively liberating. While traditional scripture offers little explicit evidence linking Lucifer to the choir of Dominions, the symbolic, aesthetic, and functional qualities associated with this angelic order align far more closely with Lucifer’s mythic identity—especially within Luciferian belief—than the more commonly suggested choirs. Positioning him as a Dominion not only resolves several inconsistencies found in other classifications but also opens narrative space for a richer, more nuanced interpretation of his role before the Fall.
