Is this group still active? I tried to submit something but I'm not sure if I did it right (I think maybe the submission instructions are from the old DeviantArt interface ... ?)
Sort of, yes. Submissions need to be accepted manually and an image can be submitted only once.
Currently m-1981 is keeping things together single handedly, I'm just passing by. If you are interested in the maintenance work, you can try joining the vectors team on the live chat at https://chat.inkscape.org/channel/team_vectors.
Needs registering a user profile and it's in plan to move the chat to another platform in the future.
Hi !
Your submission worked. They are accepted by default.
We check from time to time if they need to be moved in another gallery, or removed if they don't have a link with Inkscape.
I only asked because I didn’t see it appear in the group gallery. But then again everything with groups is confusing now with the new Eclipse theme
Ah, it took some time but I finally found in which gallery it is : Comic strip. I also find hard in Eclipse to see where a deviation added to a group is located.
Yes and no. They made me my co-founder without asking me, since I post a lot of my creations here. The most active ones get this status. Anyway, what are you trying to post? I can look at them and validate them if you want.
In case there's any doubt about me using Inkscape, you can see my process of making the mini-manga in these livestreams
I've been using Inkscape for literally 24+ years, it's an essential part of my professional toolset. It was really fun using it for this, and even sometimes explaining Inkscape technicalities to my livestream audience while I was working π
Welcome to the official Inkscape users group !
Think of this place as a showcase and technical demonstration of what Inkscape can do.
Browse galleries to discover other artists works, share tips, links, and tutorials. We also host or relay official informations (news, releases, contests) for the Inkscape community.
Members can contribute, here are some guidelines :
Your design must be partially or entirely made using Inkscape. If partially, explaining which step involved Inkscape in your creating process is highly appreciated.
Submit in the most appropriate gallery. If not, we reserve the possibility to move it.
Specify 'Inkscape' in tags or description.
Be kind and respectful with each other.
Have fun !
