Hi there! My name is Igor and I like to draw small, diorama-like landscapes.

I try to create different moods with my work. Sometimes idyllic or cozy, sometimes dark, always with a sense of melancholy and disconnection. Sometimes there’s a bit of storytelling involved, but often it’s simply about these isolated microspheres existing on their own.

I’ve been drawing since I was three years old. As a kid, I mostly drew what I saw in the cartoons I watched on TV or in the video games I played.

My biggest inspiration comes from games like The Settlers, Anno, and other RTS titles with beautiful environments. I love seeing those worlds from above. I also enjoy games like Minecraft and Shadow of the Colossus for their vast yet melancholic and almost empty worlds. And I’ve always loved the backgrounds in movies like Nausicaä and other works by Miyazaki.

I work mostly with mixed media: watercolor, markers, fineliners, and ink. But I also like to paint digitally in Procreate sometimes.

The reason I came to DeviantArt is that I hope to connect and exchange ideas with other artists who enjoy digital or traditional fantasy art. Most of my friends come from other art communities, like graffiti writers or dancers, which are a bit different . I’ve always felt too shy to connect with people on online platforms, but maybe I can change that here.
