Just as I thought I was going to abandon my little account on this website for good, I return to upload my one (1) recent digital drawing. I re-read my journal about 2021. I feel old - in a good way - and I feel grateful. 2023 has been a strange year. It has been an amazing year. It has been a terrible year. It's almost over, but the events begun this year are not. Others might also experience this sense of dual existence that strikes me when I read the news, when my various feeds flood with images of war and pleas for aid, worrisome predictions, dead waters, drowning cities and burning forests. I exist as part of this world. I also exist as part of my every day, where I have to think about my laundry, how my grandmother is doing, what to eat for dinner, and how excited I am to play another session of ttrpg with my friends.
