My Bio

Washington State resident, and comics fan.

I illustrate comics stories for fun and profit, and placed 1st in the Rippafest 2025 sequential art category.

Favourite Visual Artist

I have a soft spot for silver-age artists, so Jack Kirby, John Buscema, Joe Sinnot, etc. I have to lump in a lot of the 90's artists, too, so Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Marc Silvestri, etc.

Favourite TV Shows

Classic Doctor Who, Star Trek TNG, Classic Trek... I suppose that makes me a huge nerd, but I own it.

Favourite Books

Anything by G.K. Chesterton, The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (I loathe the Amazon adaptation), Dune (the first book, I couldn't get through the sequels), The Lord of the Rings trilogy

Favourite Writers

G.K. Chesterton, Heinlein, Herbert, and Howard

Favourite Games

The original SMS Phantasy Star, because it is awesome, Streets of Rage series (where else can you smack your little brother and not get yelled at), Revenge of Shinobi, Tenchu (PS1)

Favourite Gaming Platform

I'm a classic console kind of guy. Sega Genesis, SNES, etc, but mostly (but mostly Xbox these days, tbh)

Tools of the Trade

Drafting lead holder with 2H lead, mechanical pencil in .5 and .3mm sizes (HB), Crowquill, Windsor Newton sable hair brush, India ink, Copic markers for traditional work, ipad pro w. Clipstudio for digital illustration

Thank you for the favorite on my old Isom contest entry piece. I've been thinking about doing a redraw on it at some point to compare my progress as an artist.

It might be a hot minute to be fair. I've come across computer woes, and even if I complete a redraw it'll be a while before I can scan and upload it. Though I'll be glad if you're around when I do resolve such problems.
