I cannot remember a time when photography wasn't part of my life somehow. When I was a child my late father showed me photographs from his business trips from all around the world. It felt incredible to flip through his photo albums and wrap my mind around the concept of capturing a memory on paper. How does a camera work, how big the world is. Getting together with him always meant seeing new photos and hearing the stories behind them.
I got my first camera when I was 14 or 15. A cheap Canon compact camera that fit on the palm of my hand. It was a piece of garbage but it got me hooked. This was the ancient times, nobody had a smartphone.
I've never studied photography or any other arts for that matter but over the years I've photographed pretty much everything imaginable. I've done a little commercial product photography, even spent few years shooting weddings. My personal favorite genre? Without a doubt nature.
Right now photography is my safe space. It takes me out. Allows me to take my mind out of things.
Thanks for dropping by.
