Hi! My name's Ellen Larsson, and i'm a retro games artist &amp; programmer on those late hours. I specialize in the NES, always looking for new ways to make something impressive looking out of its limitations. I'm a confirmed crafts perfectionist with a terminal obsession over details.<br><br>Here, i'll do show &amp; tells and post about the creative process of making NES games &amp; game assets. Posts will be a bit more elaborate and in-depth than on my twitter or blog. I'm also maintaining one of the main graphics tools for NES homebrew; NEXXT - whenever i update it, i describe the newest features here and make regular mini tutorials.<br><br><strong>My ambition</strong> is to make new experiences for system we all know and love that, in some way or other, would have wowed everyone if it had been released at that time. I'm alsways looking for ways to fill in and complete the NES library of games, exceed expectations, and &quot;push the hardware&quot; a bit beyond what was typical back in the day. First charge is done at the moment of subscriptions, which will gain you access to previous content. <br><br><img src="https://frankengraphics.files.wordpress.com/2018/01/asgoodasdone.gif?w=256"><br><h4>What does my money actually pay for?</h4>At this point, i'm using the funds to be able to spend more time doing NES creations.<br>I'm estimating that at about 130 patrons, in the time &amp; economomy i'm writing this, I could be doing what i do best with my nerdy skillset and just produce nes gfx, games, and tools most of my &quot;job time&quot; and have a minimum existence living to support it. In a general sense, i'll provide sneak previews &amp; looks into how my projects grow, and try to share insights that might be inspiring, interesting, or useful to others. Most of it will be in the form of easily digestible posts, pictures and sounds, but occasionally, there will also be tutorial drafts you'll have the chance to discuss with me before i publish them to a wider audience.<br><br>I do post a lot of stuff on twitter, forums, sometimes IG, and my blog. Some of it will inadvertently overlap with patreon content. If you're a baseline pledger, you're probably in it for the sake of support, rather than for exclusive previews, more indepth texts and discussions and such.<br><br><h4><strong>Will I get previous Patron-only content when I subscribe?</strong></h4>Yes! <br>Also, patrons of subscriber tier and above gain access to my private Discord.<br>You may remain on this discord both as a current and previous contributor. <br><br><h4><strong>Anything else to declare?</strong></h4>Whenever i can, i freelance as a product developer and gui designer, do special commissions, occasionally work as a consultant for museums, and seasonally, i grow &amp; sell perennial flowers to bring the groceries in. <br><br>NES homebrewing, on the other hand, is first and foremost a passion. Every other year or so, it might result in a finished game, which typically will go to kickstarter to finance physical reproduction.
