Although I'm a game designer at heart and have released a few freeware and non-free titles, lately I've been doing a web show entitled "Ancient DOS Games", where I take my analytical nature and apply it to all the old PC games few people play anymore, giving light to the old classics and even the games which probably should've stayed forgotten. Regardless of how good they are, I give every game a fair treatment, occasionally finding out interesting tid-bits in the process, and I also provide information on how to legally obtain these old games and get them working on modern computers. Now, I should make something perfectly clear: Ancient DOS Games will ALWAYS be free to watch! The whole point of my being here on Patreon is for those of you who want to support the show beyond simply watching it. You don't have to be a Patron of the show to enjoy it! That said, being a Patron will give you some exclusive bonuses indicated at the top of the page as my way of saying thanks for being extra-awesome!Don't you run ads on your show? Why bother with Patreon?Ad revenue is a fickle thing and you'd be surprised how little a niché show such as mine makes. The ad revenue pays for my webhosting and occasionally I can get an extra DOS game or two from it, but that's about it. Patreon allows people interested in the show to give money directly towards its continued existence on a regular basis and helps to guarantee its future!What do I get out of this?At the top of the page are several exclusive rewards offered to anyone who pledges a certain amount per month. Even as little as $1 USD a month is enough to get something for your generosity! Plus, since this isn't very obvious allow me to express this plainly and simply: Every reward level includes ALL previous reward levels! This means if you pledge $16 a month, you also get the $1, $2, $4, $8 and $12 rewards! You also don't have to match the rewards exactly, as you can either create a custom pledge if you want to keep your name out of the credits of the videos, or if you want to pledge more than a particular tier is set to you can edit the amount you're pledging during the checkout process. Of course, there's nothing wrong with simply pledging nothing and continuing to watch and enjoy the show as always; Again, my videos will ALWAYS be free to watch and pledging support will always be just an extra optional thing for those who wish to do so!What about pledging different amounts or anonymously?Patreon's changed a lot over the years and in an effort to make joining easier and less complicated it's actually become MORE complicated for anyone who wants to choose exactly how much they give to a creator. If you'd like to pledge anonymously (no name in credits of videos) and/or a custom amount, follow these instructions:Anonymous Pledges: Scroll down the page a little and you will see a "Join Now" button appear at the bottom. Click on this, then scroll down the next page to the bottom and select "Make Custom Pledge". This will let you pledge anything you want and you will bypass all tiers, thus your name will not show up in the credits and certain posts here on Patreon will remain locked.Custom Pledges: If you want to pledge a custom amount and still get the right perks, simply select the "join" option for the tier you'd like, then edit the amount in the checkout screen to whatever you want, though it has to be at least the minimum amount for the tier you selected!Anything else I should know?I do more than just produce ADG and make games. On my website is a special section dedicated to "Miscellaneous Stuff", which includes huge quantities of the music I've made, some custom levels for various games, and even a link to my DeviantArt page, which I will admit, I don't update very often at all, but you can check out some of the conceptual screenshots I've drawn up over the years along with some other random art-type stuff. You will get to vote on game selections for NNRG videos, plus you'll be mentioned in the credits of all upcoming ADG Episodes and will have a gold glow around your name the first time it shows up! Your name will normally show up in white and disappears off-screen the fastest.

Common Item Tier

Same as the Common Item Tier, except your name shows up in blue and stays on screen slightly longer than white names!

Enchanted Name Tier

I still make games! May not seem it, but progress is REALLY slow when you work solo and are making videos too. Still, this tier gives you access to my gamedev updates which will include concept art, screenshots, and even alpha and beta builds to try out! (Alpha/Beta access requires being a supporter for at least 3 months straight, though no such access is planned until sometime in 2026.) Please keep in mind these updates are VERY irregular and infrequent (at present) and there may be long gaps between each. Also, your name in the credits of ADG episodes now shows up in green and will stay on-screen slightly longer than blue names!

Rare Gamedev Tier

You'll automatically become a Nominator for NNRG and BLG (if desired) and will be able to directly select games for both shows! Simply send a private message to me through Patreon of the games you'd like to nominate in the order you'd like to nominate them in! (More details on the specifics can be found on my website, plus I will contact you directly with instructions when you first join.) You also get a whole special section of the Patreon credits at the end of ADG episodes to yourself along with everyone else at this tier or higher and your name shows up in gold!

Unique Nominator Tier

Once at this reward tier or higher you'll not only get to know what episode's coming up well before anyone else does, but you'll also be able to submit questions and comments about the games being covered to be directly responded to in each episode! This is capped at three total per episode from everyone eligible so make sure you make your comments or questions thoughtful!

Super Knowledge Tier

Twice per year you'll be able to request and receive a signed copy of any script you want! You can also request an original print instead of a reprint, but those will be first-come first-serve.

Mega Script Tier

Twice per year you'll be able to request some one-on-one voice chat time with me! We can choose an appropriate day and time by eMail and go from there! ;)
